I know... combat always slows games down and that is exponentially true with play-by-post. Still, it's really funny to think of it in game time :)

I have started a new Volume of our Game Logs, as Volume II has hit over 300 pages, and that's where Google Docs become almost impossible to search and start having other issues.

Anytime you need to see the logs, remember I have a post with the link in the Important Documents thread.

@shaidar, go ahead and make me an area knowledge skill roll, please, or whatever background skill you have... I know you have one for knowing your way around the city.

Okay, new Karma Awards are posted. I know these are not terribly high, but mostly this was for achieving the goal of getting Ace. Both Ch. 6 and Ch. 7 were mostly combat, so there was not a ton of chances for RP or other things other than for the goal.

Are we able to spend them at this point, or should we wait for a more narratively appropriate time?

You can go head and spend them. I won't make you wait until the end of the entire run, and there really isn't going to be a good plot time until after you turn Ace over to Lore.

OOC: Minibus Seating Chart

#151 Post by Charybdis Richelle »

I'm going to want a seating chart for the minibus again. Remember, there are 5 total rows. The first two has 2 bucket seats -- driver's side and passenger side. These two seats are NOT reinforced and thus suitable only for humanish-sized metahumans: humans, elves, some dwarves... Behind those are 4 rows of bench seats. They ARE reinforced for larger metahumans. 3 somewhat human-sized people can fit across a bench seat. 2 orks can fit across or 1 troll...

So, please tell me your seating preferences, first come first serve,

Left (Driver's side) front bucket = Revs Right (Passenger side) front bucket =

Left Row 2 Bench Seat = Right Row 2 Bench Seat =

Left Row 3 Bench Seat = Right Row 3 Bench Seat =

Left Row 4 Bench Seat = Right Row 4 Bench Seat =

Left Row 5 Bench Seat = Right Row 5 Bench Seat =

When you say you want Ace in the middle, I am guessing that you want him on Row 3. Are you still planning on putting him on the floor? If so, between Row 2 and Row 3 or between Row 3 and Row 4.

Since Ace is human and you want to let him sit in a seat, if he were with two humans, you could go 3 in that seat if both team members were human. You could do 1 human and 1 ork team member, but it would be tight.

Also, unless someone says where you want Bone Biter, I will have him sit in 1 of the last 2 available seats.

Holy crap, good luck with things Coyote. I hope your kiddo recovers quickly, and completely.

As for the seating, Baby Blue will probably sit in the front next to Revs once they get moving, but I might want to change that depending on what the makeup of everyone else is. When they're in the van searching Ace, she is crouching on the right Row 2 bench seat, where she can see him clearly.

Dang, dude! You know it's not supposed to be a contest between us to see who can have more chaos in their lives.

Sorry to hear about the ER thing. Did you at least get the kiddo some relief... Still no answers. Frag. That bites.

So whichever seat you put Ace in, Cid will take up the entire row behind him. Eve if you are going to eventually put him on the door, Ace is on the seat as Pacman searches him... With Headstone holding him down if you want... though that would make it harder for Pacman to search since Headstone is larger, by far, than Ace.

El Cid exits the building and walks over to the van. If there's room, he'll sit on the bench behind Ace. If someone is in the bench, Cid suggests they move over.

Entering the van around the time Ace is talking about Cid, He puts an extremely large meaty hand on Ace's shoulder, "Its good to know you care, chummer. Now be nice the BB, she can get a bit emotional." He looks at BB, "Be nice to the old man. He's humoring you and hasn't slept in 3 days."
Oh I see. Baby Blue points out how Ace's actions don't make a lick of sense for a guy whose been doing this for over ten years and she's 'emotional.'

Ace dumps his whole backstory on us in a long-winded rant, and he 'hasn't slept in 3 days.' :P

Hheheheheh... Actually, when I first build Ace, way back in 1st edition, (so early that my GM wouldn't even let me buy a van because there wasn't one in the BBB and he'd heard the Rigger book would be out in a few months, so he didn't want to do the work of doing stats for a van when there might be one in that upcoming book), the point buy system wasn't out yet. Nor were Edges and Flaws. So, all of my lovely flaws were just flavor text. They've grown and evolved in the last 35-40 years... But really, they've done little to help Ace himself except to keep him alive in my mind rather than lost to dust like a lot of my PCs.

{GM}

Oh, I laughed hard at it...

But that's not his whole backstory... His character sheet when I first made him (let alone over the last 35-40 years since) made a thud on the table when I gave it to the foolish GM who had told me that he wanted a as detailed a backstory as I could write. Of course, a lot of that thud was Contacts and their information. Way back as a new runner when he only had 21... :)

And sorry if I seem to be picking on BB, but Baby Blue hit a never, and she's really slotted Ace off.

I seem to have a thing for hitting the nerves of your NPC's, don't I?
