Back at it

#1 Post by wolfpack »

As tub huddles in the wagon in the cold rain he nervously looks around waiting for an attack from any side. After a few minutes he begins to move te cart off the main road.

After 4 minutes there a series of audible pops as his friends reappear in the middle of the road.

Where in the hells did you all go???!!!! Tub exclaims as relief and fear flow out of him at the same time.
This is a game about killing things and taking their stuff so you can become more powerful in order to kill bigger things and take even better stuff.
Alethan: I'm good with NOT pressing our luck this time.
mjulius: That's how I know I'm home.
Pulpatoon: The whole point of PbP is to take the scheduling pressure off the game. We're just chatty because we're so eager!
Scott308: ...everyone should be reminded of just how wonderful the people they play games with here can be in real life.
Leitz: Quality and quantity wise, I think US is the best I've seen.
Paladin: I can promise terror, glory, and riches...or a quick and brutal death.
Inferno: Come on! That's was Vicar's Head, a completely different doomed village!
Rex: I can move to the wait list to let someone else into the game.

Cilian frowns as he tries to cipher what just happened.

"It appears... we were the result of a summoning spell of some sort. We were suddenly in a battle with two knights and four ogres and a mage. The mage compelled us to fight the ogres. When it was over, the mage sent us back. Sod it all, I lost three darts back there..."

Cilian is obviously not happy to be the plaything of others. He looks up into the sky to see if it looks like the rain is clearing up again or will continue to come down. Then he looks around to see if there is any shelter near by. Just to make sure they're all back in the same place, he removes the necklace and puts it back on to see what direction they need to head for the bleedin' temple...

Sergius looks around, checking if everyone is present, then focuses on Scy

Are you okay Scy? Apologies for hitting you, that was totally lame. By the way, do you still have my arrow on you?

I... Uh, umm .. wha..., closing his eyes Scythius takes a deep breath.

Feeling the arrow still stuck in his back and turning his back to Sergius, I think I have your arrow here somewhere, mind helping me find it?

I think Osric might be better prepared to remove it from your inventory. Without damaging it, hopefully.

"I will have words with that mage one day." Osric snarls. "Only Thor may compell me, any others are simply asking to die."
He the strides to Scythius to lay his hands on him. "Lord of thunder, hear my cry, aid this friend so we might join in glorious battle again."

Roll 1d8 for cure light wounds

The amulet still compells you north and there appears no let up in the storm.

How does it feel being the victim of a monster summoning spell? lol

Didn't know we qualified as monsters!

Cilian points north and says, "This way, still..." Then he looks up at the unceasing rain. His sigh is lost in the sound of thunder.

Viktor collects himself, the whole experience making him lose his breakfast in a somewhat embarrassing manner on the road. He takes a sip of his water skin and tries his best to wave off the whole experience, but he knows he cannot hide the fact that he is shaken by the events they've just experienced. "Damned magics are gonna be the death of us yet," he mutters under his breath.

When he makes eye contact with Tub, the young churl simply nods his head in the affirmative to let him know he's okay. He puts his spear in the wagon and equips his short bow before pulling his cloak tight about him and preparing to move out again.

Scythius (14/16hp)

Thanks Osric, that feels a bit better. We might as well get going and put whatever just happened behind us.

"Well," sighs Cilian, "I guess it's back to heading North..."

He grips his quarterstaff and plants the end of it into the earth as he uses it to push off from his standing position.

He begins walking North, not even looking back to see if anyone else is following him.

As the wagon continues to roll north the storm worsens.

After an hour of solid travel the horses begin to spook at the crash of thunder and nearby lightning strikes.

Hail begins to fall and the wind picks up viciously as the tempeture drops to the point you can not stop your teeth from chattering.

Viktor follows Cilian and the wagon northward. He keeps his short bow and an arrow to hand and pulls his cloak tighter about him in a vain attempt to keep warm. The lightning and thunder make him nervous as well and he continues to scan the party's flanks and rear to be sure that nothing is closing in on them or following them.

Osric holds his cloak tighter as he mutters prayers to Thor under his breath... one foot in front of the other, occasionaly stealing glances in the direction of the accursed amulet

You continue for another 10 minutes and the hail begins to grow in size and the winds whip harder. Ahead of you you see the dark coud seems to reach from the sky to the ground.
