Y2156.12.08 Ville d’ Espoir [Chester]

The Company Medium Transport was piloted by Joceline and delivered Chester to the Brulantfort Port a little before his 0600 flight to Ville d’ Espoir. Chester boarded at 0600 and arrived at the Ville d’ Espoir Landing Pad at 1100. He straightened his uniform and collected his thoughts before entering the office at 1140, twenty minutes early (“early is on time, on time is late, and late …” the words of his old DI ran through his mind.)

Inside the office, Chester found himself speaking with an old scarred Colonel that was reading multiple data reports from screens around the room and talking with a man in black Assault Armor via a video link. ”One of our ground assets is here now, I’ll comm you after the debreif with an update.” Then the screen went blank and the colonel turned to stare directly at you:

”Well marine, we have knuckle dragger State Security forces locking down and terrorizing every civilian in the damn COLONY. The only thing they have to show for it is to shut off the flow of g’dam untaxed hooch from hicks livin' in friggin’ tents. So tell me YOU made some g’dam progress locating the New Dawn Cell!”

Chester took the flight back to Brulantfort, shaken by the encounter with the Military and the mysterious stranger. They were pressing him for answers he didn't want to give and increasingly found himself between a rock and a hard place.
