Absences

#1 Post by Charybdis Richelle »

If you will not be able to post in the 3-day window, please drop me a quick post to let me know...

I won't even ask for doctor's notes... I promise.

MusesOwn is on hiatus until further notice. I am holding the spot for her anyway. 7 (plus an NPC) is plenty for this run.

I'm off on vacation for a week from today. I'll still have Internet access, but I won't be around quite as much.

With Helene approaching there's a chance I might lose internet or even power. I'm not too concerned since we should only get the edge of the storm where I'm at, but I figured I should post something just in case.

All good. Only got the edge where I'm at. More wind than anything else. Power flickered a few times but never went out.

Guys, I'm going to be honest and say I struggle with the sheer volume of posts in the game. With players adding multiple daily posts of conversations and actions, I have to read a short story before I can make any kind of positive contribution or comment into group plans.

So, to give you respect for the grand narrative and not hold up your excellent immersion and roleplay, I think best to withdraw Tears into the background NPC status.

Thank you for the invitation to play. Shadowrun looks a fun cyberpunk genre to play in but I just can't keep up with the posting pace. I might become a Watcher, and cheer the group's success from the sidelines, but I think to withdraw my active involvement.

Blessings and best regards.

Stirling.

That's a shame, but I can understand where your coming from.
I always liked your posts though.
So I hope to play with you again someday.

That's always a potential problem with any play-by-post game. Best of luck to you.

@Sterling I said this privately, but I'll say it here also. I'm sorry to see you go, and you are certainly welcome to lurk and keep an eye on the team's progress.

@Sterling - Sorry to see you go. I've always enjoyed games with you.

So here's my status: Milton is going to hit where I'm at. I'm not close to the coast but after talking with my family, now is an excellent time for an open-ended visit with them down south. I'm leaving tonight. I can still read and make posts from my phone (something I already do sometimes), but for some reason I don't have access to the dice roller from my phone. So while my participation will be more sporadic in the near term, I'll still be around.

Stay safe and thanks for letting us know.

If you want to roll physical dice or use another die roller, just tell me your results. I trust you.
