As the rules say, "For a solitary PC, some rules changes are required to give them a fighting chance in the wilds of Argosa. The Lone Wolf is a hero among heroes, emulating the likes of Conan, Elric, etc."

I am going to avoid any mass copying of the rules here but there is a preview version of ToA on DriveThruRPG if you're curious about the details.

===Lone Wolf Abilities===
Each time the PC takes an action in combat, he makes a bonus melee or ranged attack
Each time the PC suffers a melee or ranged attack, he rolls the Fortune die. Positive means the attack is parried, evaded, etc. Negative means the PC counterstrikes, causing standard melee or ranged damage. Blank result means no special effect
If reduced to 0 HP, make a Death save to auto-stabilize
On a Short Rest, make three WILL checks
If facing 5+ enemies, halve their number
During Hexploration, have a bonus Travel Role of Look Out, even while sleeping

*Adaptable - can use one of these styles 3 times before resting

**Opportunist: When foe reduced to 0 HP, immediately make another attack (once per round)
**Protector: Auto succeed on Init checks to trigger Rescue Exploits, shields grant +2 AC (Default Style)
*Deadly Strikes - Crit range is 19-20 and Nat 19 effects also occur on a crit
*Supplies - At any time, can add 1d4 mundane items to equipment list

===Unique Feature===
Deeds Not Words - When recruiting hirelings, up to 1d8+2 are available, they gain a +1 bonus on starting gear rolls
