OSE (Old School Essentials) rules

#1 Post by BaltoBruiser »

Old School Essentials (OSE) will be the foundation for our adventures. If you are unfamiliar with OSE's rules, here is a link to the free SDR that Necrotic Gnome provides:

https://oldschoolessentials.necroticgno ... /Main_Page

We will be using the Advanced Fantasy Players Tome along with supplements from the OSE zine Carcass Crawler for the (Imperial) Goblin class, slot based encumbrance, and d6 thief and player skills. I don't think you need to buy these reference materials if you have 1e PHB or B/X and I am happy to answer any questions you might have on differences in the OSE materials vs. your reference works. However, you can find the PDFs of the player's tome and all 3 volumes of Carcass Crawler zine for sale at DriveThruRPG.

Race as a Class

#2 Post by BaltoBruiser »

We will be playing Race as a Class. We will have a new race "Imperial Goblin" which will be modeled off of the Goblin class published in Carcass Crawler #1. Also there will be no Drow, Duerger, Gnome, Half-Orc, or Svirfneblin in the campaign.
