Character Creation

This is where we will discuss anything regarding the creation of characters.

I think I will keep this pretty much by the book for starters, so go ahead and ask away if you have any questions.

I like using Method III for rolling stats. (4d6 drop lowest and assign at will)

First level characters will start at Maximum hit points for their class (adding any Con bonus) but will roll for everything else.

I really liked the way Scott filled in the US sheet, adding the different checks and using the notes tab for other information. So please use it as a reference if you will. (hopefully he doesn't mind me posting this )

I obviously prefer players didn't roll 50 times till they get perfect stats, but if you would like to re-roll those to see if you get something closer to a bonus adjustment range, that's fine with me.

Same goes for anyone else who gets an initial stinker.

In lieu of my previous starting gold roll I'll take the starting pack, which includes 1d4+1 gold:

Okay so I took the liberty of rolling another set:

So, if the GM permits, a last try, to get some variation (hi/lo):

4d6 drop lowest stat roll: [4d6c1]=14, [4d6c1]=9, [4d6c1]=13, [4d6c1]=13, [4d6c1]=11, [4d6c1]=16

I'll have a look at the races/classes (new to game/setting!) and see which set would fit. If there's no healer yet, I could try to play one?

There are a number of classes and sub-classes that have access to ecclesiastical magic, so lots of options.

The only AD&D hold-over they didn't cover is the F/C/MU, apparently.
