This scene has great personal meaning to me. In the Army, I was a scout helicopter crew chief. Not the OH-6's used in Vietnam, but the OH-58 scouts. My run was pre-Apache, so we had Cobra gunships as well. I never saw combat in them, but we flew training missions like this and also anti-tank runs. The range time was way fun. Even forty years later, I can feel how it was to fly through the trees at ridiculous speeds, only the rotor blades peeking over the tops. I even got stick time. Life was good.

Donovan listens intently to the communication. He checks the data channel and nods. "Roger Jackson Hole, we will use your in system identifier for simplicity sake. We are signaling QQ and request free pratique. We will standby for your Doctor as requested if that is required. Our weapons are peace bonded. What are your docking fees?"

Zaki consults the ship's library through her HUD. "We already have a large, sorta furry, and very independent cat," she grins in Sigrun's direction. "Besides, I'd probably end up caring for it, and we have no vermin for it to hunt. Ew."

As she watches the bridge screens over Donovan's shoulder the spread of Sigrún's slow smile is that of a predator much higher up the food chain. She growls a response "You should have a care that your feral pet doesn't sink her teeth into some soft Imperial flesh".

I also had an M203. Gor lucky one year during qualifications and they gave us a case of HE to expend. Lots of fun.

Oh, and linking to Station Utilities, power, water, etc. is an extra 100 a day either internal or external." he continues leaning back a bit where you can see the very colorful shirt he is wearing...a virtual riot of colors...and you can see behind him another person drift by the screen. The Control Center must be in either very low or zero g.

Listening to the conversation Sigrún shrugs then offers "Internal or external docking's not going to stop the Beltalowda crawling all over our hull if they want to. External dock makes running easier while internal dock supports our credit rating and thereby facilitates our claim to be here for trade. We might be better hidden from out system sensor scans with an internal berth. There's advantage and disadvantage both ways".
