Aiming to get us an IC post up this evening. I'm a hurting unit today! Cut some big pines yesterday that worked on me good.

The coin pouch from Darius was 100gp if I read the narrative correctly. That is what Kazak gave to Gil.

That thought crossed my mind, but may put Gil under more suspicion and make him wanted by the City Guard. Perhaps he's naïve but Gil thinks an open and honest approach will work, given witnesses, his companions, and being able to account with legitimate alibis for his presence in the city since he arrived.

Now when Kazak, admiring his chutzpah, hires the halfling to be part of our group, then we'll deal with him  Just kidding, Gil doesn't care.

If I haven't said so, I'm greatly enjoying this game. And l love barbarians and the messes they create. You're all doing wonderfully, thus far.

1e barbarians : ah, i remember a campaign where my magicuser made a pact with the barbarian - when we looted dungeons, he'd rush off, away from the actual magic items items, shouting smash or something, with the rest of the party running after to stop him; meanwhile i'd scour the actual items, pick the choicest for myself and give the rest to the barbarian to smash - aahhhhh, fun times

I am just worried that my 22 HP will be way undervalued in this campaign. And I am supposed to be a Ranger.

Paladin I am enjoying the game as well.

Thanks Skylock for your whistle attempt!

Gil won't be smashing magic items :) Perhaps occasionally vomiting on them. And he does believe magic scrolls make for good toilet paper.

Yes Darklin some characters seem to have rolled max hit points for all three levels (though the rolls aren't in the campaign dice roller archive). Gil just has 39, and can only hit stuff. Given the versatility of a cleric and ranger combo (and elf abilities), 22 seems good.

Everyone will meet challenges of one sort or another. You won't be swept aside without high-powered stats or mountains of hp. Player skill will easy compensate for any perceived lack of power on the character sheet.

The cleric/ranger 1/2 elf with 18 strength is an Alpha character for sure. In melee vs ogres for example you are +2 to hit, +4 damage so your longsword will do 1d12+4. That is huge.

Though everything is huge viewed from a halfling perspective.

Maybe our first mission is going to be breaking Gil out of jail?

Off we go! Twilight fast approaches...the plague-ridden feel the Bone-Caller's summons and the citizens of Nuz Edrak are locking themselves away.

Our heroes are split...one set is free and planning their next move, the other two are being taken to holding cells to await judgment.

I am eager to see what happens next. I don't plan these things. There are no rails. And since events are determined, in very large part, by your actions, I enjoy the suspense as much as anyone. :)

Up here in Massachusetts, between the snow on the ground, low temp, and Covid sentiments, we had one set of trick-or-treaters the whole night. Normally it’d be 50.
