Twiggy rubs his chin, "Well, no. Nothing SuSAG grade, not at the moment. I had a few vials of a combat drug, but I sold that to a feller a couple weeks ago. That and the suites of medical drugs become available from time to time, mostly coming in from salvage of encounters of the military sort. I do have about a two kilos of Fteahrao, you know dustspice, but I'm holding a kilo of that for the Siyajkhoara, they drop by every few months and always buy any of the dust I have on hold for them. I could let you have the piece of a kilo, um I think it's about 600 grams for what the Aslan would pay me for it...say Cr30,000?"Tiglath wrote: ↑Wed Sep 04, 2024 11:40 pm Sigrún checks in "Did the guy check out? I happen to be nearby. I'll come and check the consignment and, as Kapiten, put my word on the deal".
She will arrive in due course and introduce herself to Twiggy "Kapiten Sigrún Volsung. We will take all your stock but are involved in the... you say... "realization" já? ... of certain items of salvage with other factors. You are welcome to view the contents of my ship's hold I will take you myself - there is enough there to secure the deal".
"Do you have any similar SuSAG factory grade products available for sale in individual doses? I am also interested in... niche market firearms and ammunition..."
"As for firearms and ammo, I've got a pretty standard mix right now. Nothing very niche." Twiggy shrugs, "You know, 'The War That Didn't Happen' also didn't produce much salvage that traders like me depend upon for things like that."

Donovan nods to Sigrun and gives her a thumbs up about her question regarding the cargo. "All cash would be preferred on our end as well. The cargo speaks for itself without needing to wag a tail." He thinks for a moment. "The spice would be a good investment for the future Captain."
What roll should I make to determine what might be a fair price for the spice?

Sigrún replies "Aslan drugs are a niche a market but I'll take my Quartermaster's advice. Does your "pretty standard" extend to HEAP snub ammo? How about SMGs or machine pistols? I also want an autosnub, two side by side sporting shotguns with buckshot ammo and maybe three ACRs with DS and HE ammo. If you're good for any of that we could deal. You carry suppressors? Two for autopistols three for the ACRs. If there's a choice of manufacturers I'll take Sword Worlds, Zhodani, Imperial and not Vargr in that order".

Re: 0006 Rumbles on Rangent
Ref: No roll needed. Donovan knows that Fteahrao goes for about Cr40 per gram in the human market, but Vargr or Aslan will pay five or six times as much. Also note, Fteahrao (dustspice) is not now a controlled substance in the Imperium, Arden or Sword Worlds, but some higher Law Level planets control or outright ban its sale across the Starport boundary line. At Twiggy's price, it's certainly a good deal if you're selling to Aslan or Vargr, but not such a good deal if you intend to sell it for human consumption.helvorn wrote: ↑Thu Sep 05, 2024 9:42 pm Donovan nods to Sigrun and gives her a thumbs up about her question regarding the cargo. Once you pay for the 5 tons of Fast Drug and the rest of your expenses, you won't have enough cash for all of the Textiles and Aluminum on offer.
Have you decided where that is yet?
- Textiles [45 tons @ 3,300) = 148,500
- Aluminum[230 tons@ Cr900)=207,000

She asks Twiggy bluntly "What do you know of the brotherhood out there? Can we trade or buy weapons out in the black if we are known? In my experience... "gathering places" are often declared "neutral ground" for crews of a certain profession. Do you have a contact out there - someone who knows the way things work?"

Remember your ship only has room for 82 tons of cargo, so you couldn't take it all anyway. So, how much, if any, are you buying? And will you be looking for freight to carry to your next destination?

Re: 0006 Rumbles on Rangent
Over the next day or two, the work on your ship is finished and cargo moves into the hold. In the back of everyone's mind is the fact that there is, at least, one group with a reason to hunt you down and kill you out there and how long it's going to take for them to drop in on Rangent is an unknown. It's a worry that it might be sooner rather than later, though.
Flighty is starting to get fidgety and once the decision to jump to Phlume had been made he went to work on a Jump Plot from here to there. It is going to take two jumps, from Jackson Hold to either empty space then Phlume or to Tionale and then Phlume. You are going to arrive at Phlume low on fuel unless you land on Tionale and refuel...but that is likely to be very risky seeing as you have folks looking for you. If you had bought less cargo here you could have stored unrefined fuel to process on the jump and had enough for an immediate third jump when you hit Phlume...just in case, but you didn't do that! This worries Flighty...
Karcsi has started having unsettling dreams that he can't quite remember, but he feels like he should be doing something other than lounging around on a rock in the Rangent system. He doesn't know if he should tell anyone about his dreams or not, but they have him worried.
Donovan has been busy getting everything loaded and Zaki has the supplies and life support modules as well as monitoring her patients in their low berths to keep her busy, but she notices Sigrun is getting increasingly grumpy as time passes. She seems to spend more time in "warrior" mode than out of it like she's expecting trouble and it's getting on everyone's nerves.
Sigrun has things on her mind. She is remembering that she had a mission to gather info about a pirate band, but the details are fuzzy. She feels like it was members of that organization that took her out on... Oh she can't remember where it was exactly, Arden, Caloran? It was at night and outside a bar, though, and they spoke Sagamaal. That bothers her for some reason that she can't put her finger on. It started bothering her more once she read the words that Twiggy wrote on that piece of paper, pirates speaking Sagamaal shouldn't be a surprise...those pirates speaking Sagamaal shouldn't have been a surprise, either, but something about it has starting making her brain itch.
At meals, Doug is less cheerful and talkative and Bob seems outright nervous. It's clear they want to get out of here.
All in all, it's time for you to pull up stakes and leave this place...and you all know it!
OOC: There might be more to happen in the Rangent system, I don't know. That might be up to you. but your time on Jackson Hold is ending and it's time to move the ship, either into jump space or elsewhere in the system.
