I think we need to decide on our next course of action. Do people want to go back down and attempt to kill the monster below, or are we leaving this sub-level of the dungeon entirely and looking elsewhere?

I vote to attempt to kill the monster. Oil it up and burn it. If we fail, we retreat to the spore-killing room where we'd presumably be safe.

I'm not sure how long it would take, but if Atticus spent more time reading the journal then we might learn more about it. But I agree, with some caution, and fire, I think it's worth a try.

Correct.

How much oil do we have? Tiarsus has given out all of his.

I thought we bought a bunch more when we went back to town.

I thought we bought more oil and other necessary adventuring gear I just didn't record any additions to my personal sheet.

I’d like to rest into the next day, to regain whirlwind, allow study of possible spells, etc.

You are currently in a relatively safe space, as far as you can tell.

Resting makes sense to me. We can also read the books in Sani.

The only downside is the people we left behind outside of the lab. Their boss might turn up to see what's going on.

The group we attacked that were trying to get into this place. They're boss sounded pretty tough.

Oh yeah, the Rawhide Gang guys. Well, it is what it is with them. I don't think they're going to come this way, but we should be looking for another search party of them on the way out.

There was only one survivor, and if you wanted him to come with you that is fine. He's kinda your prisoner.

Presumably the group we smoked was sent to look for the ones who got caught by the spiders. The 3rd group will either be more disposable redshirts or they'll be beefed up in strength.

My apologies for being away. Been a rough couple weeks and just didn't have drive to get online or try to remember the logon to the website when my phone logged out of here.
It's hard to explain puns to kleptomaniacs because they always take things literally.
