Sure, you could do that. There are tapestries that could be rigged up to cover the door, or you can use bedrolls. Let's say it would take a turn to rig something up at the top of the stairs that would block the light.

Sorry I haven't been posting as regularly. One of the reasons I've been so busy is that I've been working on a compiled player's book containing a bunch of the classes and rules (like the skill system). It's very rough and hasn't been laid out properly. I also doesn't include the classes that are found in Into the Wild, but it's got everything else. How many ability slots does a character get? I have one down for Brooku and wasn't sure I had any more and given his INT score figured language probably would not be one he would get.

Er, no. If there are racial skills you'll adjust that total down by the number of racial skills. It should all be in the entry in the compiled book I posted the link to.

So I could conceivably use one of my three skill slots to learn Sani? Even if I don't have any bonuses from INT?
