Re: Port Llast - The Quarry
Raz resenting not praying for a light spell takes up his magical morningstar and charges in to attack the critter nearest to where he is.
Morning Star +1 [1d20+1]=18+1=19 to hit, [2d4]=6/[1d6+1]=6+1=7 dmg

Re: Port Llast - The Quarry
Kill That Thang!
Once a foe is discovered, the companions rush in to attack!
Moan hollers for help and then promptly skewers the creature that tried to attack him, severely wounding it.
Mag hurries down the corridor, dropping the "light" coin to illuminate the path. Passing Brade, the Elf attacks the creature which has engulfed Stannik...but in his eagerness, his blade misses, clanging off the stone wall of the corridor.
With a roar, Thurm charges in, wounding the same creature that attacked Moan.
He is followed by Raz, wielding his morning star and clubbing the same creature, ending its life in a spray of leathery skin and ichor!
"It's killing Stannik!" Brade yells, backed against the corridor wall...too afraid to move.
And then...Raz and Thurm realize it is very cold where they stand at the entrance to the chamber...which looks like an old mining storage room...but that is not all they see (sense?). There is a strange growth along the northern wall just opposite where they stand. Could this be where the cold is coming from?

Barin
Glowing hammer raised high Barin rushes to assist in his friends in taking down the final creature:
Hammer: to-hit [1d20]=1; dmg (S/M) [1d4+1]=2+1=3; dmg (L): [1d4]=1
If someone else is taking the damage from the fumble then don't forget to add the +2 from the magic.

Thurm
"What IS that...?" - the dwarf questions himself out loud as he notices the abnormal growth along the northerly wall.
Does it look mineral or organic?
None of that prevents him from trying to assist Stannik!
Longsword +1 [1d20+1]=8+1=9 Damage [1d8+1]=3+1=4

Re: Port Llast - The Quarry
Hysterical!

Hack n Slash!
Like rabid dogs, the companions set about to hack, stab, slash and bash the poor creature stuck to Stannik's body (which is just trying to get a free meal) to pulp. Although only four of them have room to move and attack, this does not stop Barin from charging in...except that he trips over his feet, sending his borrowed hammer flying toward the melee. The hammer glances off Moan's back, and narrowly misses Raz and Thurm, ending up in the middle of the chamber.
Grumble tries to get in on the action too, chopping at the pummeled creature with his axe and nearly taking a chunk out of Mag's face!
Once the creature is morally, ethically, spiritually, physically, positively, absolutely, undeniably and reliably dead, the companions bend to help Stannik...to find he is barely clinging to life.
Winter is coming...

Moan
"What the hell are those things? Quick, someone help him!"
I have no healing.
Moan moves to cover the group from anything coming from deeper in, just in case there are more.

Unable to assist the brave injured warrior, Ari will stand alertly watching the area should more of the fiends appear.

Barin
Baron swears in dwarven as he trips and the hammer goes flying. He picks himself up and takes in the scene.
Assuming he can reach Stannik he will cast cure light wounds on him.

Re: Port Llast - The Quarry
Raz "I have two healing spells let me use one on Stannik." switching from battle priest to healer he lays hands on Stannik and prays to Gond. "Oh, Gond, master of all things mechanical and ingenious, I come before you in a state of disrepair. This mans's body mind, and spirit are all in need of your skilled hand. Just as you mend broken gears and forge new tools, I ask you to mend the broken places within Stannik. Restore his strength, refine his focus, and renew his sense of purpose. Guide my healing as a craftsman guides his tools, and let your divine engineering restore Stannik to wholeness. I offer my faith as the raw material, and I trust in your ability to work wonders."

Ooopsy! My bad.

It looks organic, like something growing along the wall.

Thurm

"Dat thing looks like its growing along the wall" - Thurm grunted without approaching - "Is it a fungus or something?" - he asked his companions.

Grumble assists with the care for Stannik. How do you feel? Can you stand?
Considering the damage he has taken, Grumble thinks about healing him again.
