Just posted two private posts (results of PER rolls) - if you did not get one it was because you did not roll
Warlock can post at his leisure and Azir you can half move and still attack on 9 if you want. Please note that this agent that was flashed and chained up by Eclipse and Warlock. If you would like to pick a different opponent that is fine. You can leap 9 hexes and still attack with a Punch. (if that is what you want.)
The combined effect of Eclipse's light attack and Warlock's Mystic Chains effectively took the agent out of the fight. Or at least it seemed that way to Warlock. Still, there were quite a lot of these. He was going to get his target practice in today. Which is more than he could say of a typical day. Not bad overall.
Warlock watched as the team simply vaulted off the railway and landed in the midst of the agents.
"Damn, you guys are mobile. I need to practice me some of that."
And yet, those blasters activated with an odd light, a 'green' glow, reminiscent of ... Ohzar?... were these agents using mystic weapons? And if so, who would be skilled enough, trained enough, and even willing, to combine magic and technology like that? This bode ill to Warlock, specially considering that if these weapons could be created in enough quantities they would pose a serious threat to everyone.
It became even more imperative in Warlock's mind to capture and interrogate one of these agents and see where these weapons were coming from.
Now that the rest of the team was off the railing Warlock had free reign to shoot from on high and pick out his targets. In particular, the large coffin-like structure into which one of the agents had 'escaped' to seemed highly problematic. If he understood the mind of a person plotting crime, this might be a prelude to something more nefarious. He could not stop the agent in the contraption, but perhaps, if it needed constant control, he could prevent any further progress towards... whatever they were doing down there. Besides, now that he thought of it, the contraption was more than likely the one responsible for the noise they heard while on the roof. He would have to examine that thing closely once they were done with Viper today.
Having made up his mind, Warlock remained in place, aiming downwards towards the agent next to the 'coffin'. The runes around his hands came into existence quickly and with practiced confidence. He'd been doing this for years now, and he would probably be doing it for longer.
Status: Warlock is not moving from his position. He will aim a Mystic Chains spell at Agent #8.
Levels set into OCV again. Attacking with Mystic Chains (Entangle) spell (END: 2) at figure #8.
OCV: 9, DCV: 7 (-3 to be hit from Change Environment)
PD: 12/22 (10 rPD), ED: 14/24 (10 rED)
BODY: 10/10 - STUN: 40/40 - END: 38/40
To Hit: [_3d6]=(4+4+4)=12
This might actually miss, what with the Range Penalty and all. But they are agents. Let's see what happens. Unmodified DCV hit would be 8.
Agents 4, 6, 7 are knocked out
Agents 9 are in Mystic Chains
Wind Dragon sees that his blow slowed down the agent in front of him, be he is not out. He moves up an actually physically punches Agent 7. So often he punches in the air and the lands the blow at a distance. Perhaps forgetting his own strength, he knocks the agent out and knocks him back about 8m (4 hexes).
Eclipse moves down and towards the west (top of the map). Eclipse launches a plasma bolt at Agent 6, hitting him and blowing him back into the passenger side tire of the van parked inside. Agent 6 is unconscious.
There was an ask about OCV, it is DEX/3 round to the nearest whole number so in Eclipse's case 20/3 = 7
For Warlock's shot, he is 7 hexes in the air and 11 across the map. This is 13" for a -3 penalty for range. This is a hit, binding Agent 8 in the mystic chains!
Since Azir would see that Eclipse was not only attacking the same target that Azir wanted to move after, but in an effort to move this along. I am changing Azir's target to #1 - hopefully this is OK with Rex
Azir leaps into the teeth of action, as she so often does and attempts to land a full blow on Agent 1. He manages to dodge her blow.
This leaves only Agents 1, 2, 3 and 5 still in the action. And this takes us to Segment 4. The agents get to move on segment 4. Agent 5 yells, "Take down the vampire, our rifles will do more against her. AIM...FIRE" The agents that were previously set - are no longer.
The four agents attempt to coordinate together and all blast Azir. Agents 1 & 5 both hit Azir (and manage to coordinate). The green glows hit Azir at the same moment. Azir takes a total of 11+5 STUN = 16 STUN. This plan does not work so well for the agents.
For your next actions Wind Dragon, Eclipse and Azir get to act on segment 5 with Warlock acting on segment 6.
Turn 1, Phase 6, Dex 20 (since there he is going alone in this segment and DEX)
The battle was coming to a quick conclusion. The agents didn't really have a chance, not against seasons and coordinated group like this one. Warlock turned around and scanned the battle below him. One lonely agent his ground next to the forklift, offering an easy target.
Once again, calling forth the same spell, another set of luminous bands conjured out of the ether, and flew forth to attempt to ensnare one more Viper agent. Considering how vehement their effort was, despite the odds against them, he wondered if they had something significant to protect.
Status: Warlock remains. He will aim a Mystic Chains spell at Agent #2.
Levels set into OCV again. Attacking with Mystic Chains (Entangle) spell (END: 2) at figure #2.
OCV: 9, -3 for range, DCV: 7 (-3 to be hit from Change Environment)
PD: 12/22 (10 rPD), ED: 14/24 (10 rED)
BODY: 10/10 - STUN: 40/40 - END: 36/40
Agents 1, 4, 6, 7 are knocked out
Agents 2, 9 are in Mystic Chains
Agent 5 is CON STUNned
Segment 5
Wind Dragon seeing that agents running out of options. He calls out on his comms, "I am going after that jet coffin." He quickly disappears flying at full speed into the darkness (the hole) that the large metal box moved into only a few seconds ago.
Eclipse moves forward and blast Agent 5 with his Plasma Blast. The blast knocks the agent back into the wall of the warehouse. Denting the wall and CON STUNning the agent.
Azir punches the Agent 1, knocking him out and in fact he flies through the air hitting the warehouse house wall and ends up blowing a hole in the wall and being knocked outside.
Moving to segment 6
Warlock fires a mystic chains spell at Agent 2, binding the VIPER agent and not giving him another shot - at least for now.
Now the fun part. The agents do not get to act until Segment 8. This means that Azir and Eclipse both get another action before the agents get to act. Agent 3 is the only agent that will be able to act in Segment 8 as Agent 5 will be recovering from being CON STUNned. All others are out of the fight. Warlock will get to act next on Segment 9.
Agents 1, 3, 4, 6, 7 are knocked out
Agents 2, 8, 9 are in Mystic Chains
Eclipse moves from around the boxes flying low across the open space of the warehouse with a soft hum of forcefield energy trailing behind him. His movement is quick, confident, until he reaches the mouth of the tunnel. The moment he crosses its threshold, the environment shifts dramatically. The tunnel is dark. The walls, made of dirt with little supports in place and they swallow the faint ambient glow of his forcefield almost completely. Despite his natural agility, Eclipse quickly realizes he is mostly flying blind. The glow around him offers only a small radius of visibility but that is barely enough to make out the ground beneath him, let alone anything further ahead.
As he glides deeper, he faces a choice:
Continue at full speed, covering ground quickly but risking a serious collision in the darkness;
Slow down, proceeding with caution and control, though potentially sacrificing precious time and momentum.
Meanwhile, on the warehouse floor, A wastes no time. As chaos erupts below, she moves with purpose, slipping around crates and closing the distance to Agent 3. Without hesitation, she delivers a precise and powerful punch. The impact lands cleanly, sending the agent sprawling to the ground, unconscious before he hits the floor.
Agent 5 recovers from his CON STUN, but that is his full action. Before the agents can potentially act both Warlock and Azir will be able to act two more times (Warlock on segments 9 and 12 and Azir on segments 10 and 12)
I know Warlock will reach him first, but just in case. If he is down when she arrives she will start binding the agents and call CHiP to get someone to pick them up.
The battle was almost over. With Wind Dragon and Eclipse rushing to secure the metal coffin contraption heading who knows where, Warlock was curious to know how that darn thing moved. It clearly had to have some sort of remarkably advanced motion system, since it didn't look like it was on rails or anything like it. He had a rudimentary understanding of mechanics and general propulsion, so for that thing to move it would need quite a lot of fuel, especially for longer distances. However, it didn't look like it was using thrusters, so perhaps his assumptions were all wrong. Did Viper actually come up with a system of locomotion that didn't require fuel or somehow was able to maneuver in tight confined spaces without a guidance system or anything like rails? Who knew... and then it occurred to him that if they were using mystical systems... somehow mixed technology and magic... they could probably do anything. But at what cost?
Letting those thoughts go, Warlock refocused on the battle field. A single agent was still posing a threat, if you could really call it that. The team had practically decimated the agents here, in just a few seconds, too. Not much of a battle, so far. He supposed they had not been expecting them at this time. They might either have been more prepared, or perhaps fled before their arrival.
He intoned the spells he'd been using again, aiming its mystical forces at the last remaining agent. He was a good distance away, so careful aim was needed here. Once the runes marshalled the effects, the glowing bands of the spell rushed forth to attempt to confine the last Viper agent. But even if it did miss, he could see Azir also aiming to put him down, so to speak. The agent really had no chance. Warlock could afford a small self-satisfied smile. It was a good day to be a hero today.
"Last one. Last spell."
Status: Same as before. He will aim a Mystic Chains spell at Agent #5.
Levels set into OCV again. Attacking with Mystic Chains (Entangle) spell (END: 2) at figure #2.
OCV: 9, -4 for range, DCV: 7 (-3 to be hit from Change Environment)
PD: 12/22 (10 rPD), ED: 14/24 (10 rED)
BODY: 10/10 - STUN: 40/40 - END: 34/40
With all the VIPER agents either unconscious or in Mystic Chains there is no active threat in the warehouse. Azir and Warlock are free to take any actions that they would like.
Eclipse continues in the tunnel at full speed. A question that I forgot to ask is full combat speed (which for you is 17"), or full non-combat speed (which for you 34" but 1/2 DCV and 0 OCV). Also please include a PER Rolls with your reply.
Azir will make sure they are all secure and CHiP is notified. She will also check to see if any of them have any information on them that might be important. Instructions, communicators etc.
As the agents are all forcefully gathered into one place, Warlock begins an entreaty on them. He pulled himself as tall as possible, and tried to give his voice as much "gravitas" as he could marshal.
"So, Viper, is it? I know your goals, and have quite often opposed them. And I know you are working for a good salary, and perhaps some benefits. But make no mistakes here. You are now captured, and you will spend some time in prison. Do you think Viper is going to spend a single dollar to get you out? Or even waste one minute of worry about your well-being? You know how it works with them: you are expendable. If your position is empty, they will be placing the next available man in your spot and your name has already been forgotten. Do you really owe them any loyalty? Do you really think there is going to be a rescue attempt to get you out? Heck, do you think they would offer you any lawyers now? This is it. You are done."
Warlock took a few steps aside, observing their reactions in silence. He was hoping that at least one of them would crack. He was practically certain that at least one of them had to be dissatisfied with Viper's internal workings and weird mystic politics.
"So, why try to protect them? They are not going to be covering for you any longer. Tell us, what were you aiming to accomplish here? If you talk, we can probably get a bit of lenience in your hearings. But be certain, the full extent of earthly law will be thrown at you."
Warlock came to a stop and watched with an evidently expectant look, inviting them to talk.
OOC: Ok, a Persuasion attempt. He's taking extra time (1 Turn) for an additional +1 to the roll, if possible.
