Wishing I heard from McThunder and Ythgar.
Re: OOC Chat
Garrant keeps asking Androgost about the spells (enlarge in particular) because he is a cavalier and might get funny about the honour in getting enlarged to fight them.
Also, we don't want Androgost to resist their casting make his save and waste them.

I think it is a great idea, but understand your concern.

Re: OOC Chat
Per the PH
Improved Invisibility (Illusion/Phantasm)
Level: 4
Range: Touch
Duration: 4 rounds + 1 round/level
Area of Effect: Creature touched
Components: V,S
Casting Time: 4 segments
Saving Throw: None
Explanation/Description: This spell is similar to invisibility, but the recipient is able to attack, either by missile discharge, melee combat, or spell casting and remain unseen. Note, however, thot there are sometimes telltale traces, a shimmering, so that an observant opponent con attack the invisible spell recipient. Such attacks ore at -4 on the "to hit" dice, and all saving throws are made at +4.

Re: OOC Chat
thanks, that was my recollection on it.
My plan going forward is once i'm within crossbow range, fire a +2 bolt, then shift position, so they target the wrong area, then move in for melee backstab

Re: OOC Chat
The position of A and B on the map seems to be the reverse of the textual description.
Re: OOC Chat
Thanks - The map was right, I have corrected the text.
Re: OOC Chat
@gurusql
Does Garrant have a clear line of sight for a lightning bolt on A, or a does he need a safer option like magic missile?

Re: OOC Chat
Lighting Bolt for an opponent that is moving into melee range is always a concern. There will be rolls required to avoid friendly fire. Once in melee friendly fire is pretty much guaranteed.
Re: OOC Chat
They came from a distance, is it not possible to fire it off before they get that close?
Re: OOC Chat
I was transparently expecting this spell earlier. Now you are asking can you judge if you can cast an area effect spell that takes 18 seconds to cast, before this creature which is moving quickly down the hill before it can move 25-30' and gets into melee. When it gets into melee, you will shooting an LB down the length of the party. I will have to stick with maybe.

Re: OOC Chat
Just checking these are 10' squares.
Is it possible to move past the others towards Hex, as he seems to taking the brunt of it from the fire creature.

Re: OOC Chat
Just for clarity. This map is 20' squares (I did note it in the first couple, but not this time sorry)
GreyWolfVT's answer is for a different game there are no jail cells on this map.
