Characters and Rules
Re: Characters and Rules
This seems good
You can be a shapeshifter without the shapeshifting advantage, but it's riskier

Re: Characters and Rules
Instead of rage, what about shift? He is able to shift forms, especially when there is danger to his master and he goes weredog form. That would allow him to shapeshift and go beserk on the enemies of his master.
Shift could also have more meanings like a more strength based form of shift over the speed advantage. Force someone to shift backwards as his strength pushes out of his way.

Re: Characters and Rules
For the 8 inventory items. Seeing I have no use for items.
Would it be an idea if there are 8 items/blessings/gear or what not scattered in the world that you make me work for to find?
These can be upgrades or whatever you need, but they all push me into the direction of showing me who I actually am and why I exist.

Re: Characters and Rules
Welcome, Juramenta. Your character ideas are intriguing and thoughtful. The shapeshifter sounds fun. I agree that such a dog could effortlessly leap the chasm with one end of the rope in his mouth

Yes, that's good, and I think this could be a LOT of fun.

Re: Characters and Rules
I rolled with advantage, but ignore the second roll in case speed cannot be applied to this.
If he even gets to jump it. All depends on if he manages to get the rope free to whoever it is still attached to.

Re: Characters and Rules
I actually had the same question. Both works for me. I can easily add the s in the original post.
Shall we let the dice decide?

Re: Characters and Rules
Tweak to 2400 legends about money. Instead of using small numbers of big coins, we'll have Wealth dice. Bishop is at d6. Delx and Elcroon d10. When you purchase something significant enough to be on the equipment list, roll your wealth die. On 1 or 2 it gets smaller. If you purchase something really grand, you need 5+ to afford it and your die automatically gets smaller.

Re: Characters and Rules
intresting. I feel like maybe you could roll Presence as sort of a saving throw when a bargain's going bad: on 5+ Presence, re-roll the wealth die

Spells
Altar Thunder Rope
The thunder god Altar, before being banished by the sun god Sol, distributed his essence across the world in the form of magic. One such spell is the Altar Thunder Rope, which manifests as a thunderous concussive sonic rope that can be used to HURT as many as 1d6 opponents. It can also be used to batter physical objects, shatter glass, tsunami a body of water, and tie up a recalcitrant air elemental.
Chariot Transport Vulture
An ectoplasmic flying flaming 4’ long chariot pulled by a screaming black hole vulture materializes and can be directed by the caster to hit a target for 1d4 Hurts. Alternately, it can be used to blow open a door, put a hole in a wall, scare the superstitious or cause a general mess. Material component is a vulture feather.
Background:
Elcroon is a musicmancer who lives under a curse which forces him to speak in rhyming verse. Only when he is drunk is he able to talk in normal fashion. Elcroon plays the lute, lyre and flute, and has a natural talent for drumming on any remotely plausible object (tavern tables, shields, helmets and skulls are among his favorite items.) Given his curse, Elcroon is an accomplished accapelist and is always composing bardic songs contemporaneously, regardless of what is going on about him. Ballads, battle songs, dirges, tributes, Greyhawk country, Blackmoor beat, Flanaess freestyle, dark dungeon core, ditties, whatever circumstance and mood calls for. Sometimes it is hard to have a conversation with Elcroon, but he is fun at parties. Women tend to love or hate him. Elcroon knows how to swing a sword well enough, and is good campfire entertainment, so he is generally tolerated in adventuring groups.
