Section 3: Ace’s Wild

''I'm not picky'' he mumbles back to him, clearly distracted as he is staring at the crew. Wondering if the hold Ace has over them is so powerful, they aren't even able to reply anymore. Let alone be willing to grant him this minor request.

Ace shrugs. “I’ll bring you back one of the large combination plates,” he says. “So you can see what you like.”

Ace waits while the crew goes back and forth about whether they will or will not exit the plane.

Seeing that no one moves to stop him, as he slides to the edge of the seat, Ace stands. At the first next lull, he turns to Headstone. “I think you misunderstand something. I am not going anywhere to talk to Management. They have sent someone from Management to see me – and Management 3, not exactly my greatest supporter, at that.” The spider grimaces. “Probably because I slotted them off, so they have no plans to allow me to go to Management level.” He sighs. “You won’t have to worry about what I do or do not say to them because at least two of your crew speak Spanish and will be right there to hear exactly what I say… More or less. Spanish is not my best language, so I may slaughter what I meant to say, but…” He shrugs and spreads his hand wide.

“So, may I please go and pay the financial portion of my debt to Nuevo Refugio before El Brigadier begins to get suspicious? I can only do so much to cover for you if he begins to doubt you. As I told you earlier, I won’t lie to him. So please let me talk to him before I need to do more than present only select portions of the truth.”

Revs moves over to Ace, ready to leave with him.

Skye gives Ace a puzzled look. "Yes, and? Was I disputing anything you told us?"

Ace shrugs. “From what I’ve seen, things bear repeating with this crew,” he says. “They seem to get lost the first few times, neh?”

''Come on crew, who wants to do it? I mean, you are allowed to push back at least a little, you know. He won't think less of you. Besides, this is even an easy one to clap back at'' he chuckles mostly looking at the crewmembers who tend to remain silent the majority of the time.

''Appreciate it, I'll return the favor of food some other day. That or some drinks at the bar.'' he responds with a nod, accepting the offer.

The spider shrugs and takes Headstone’s silent invitation to leave, walking down the short flight of steps out of the plane.

Bone Biter gets up from his seat as the last of the others get out. “Sorry, Boss,” he says. “I ain’t leavin’ fer the food… Well, not just fer the food noways. I just figure if Ace is out there, we gotta better chance a hangin’ on ta him if we’re with him than if we ain’t, neh?" He shrugs. “I mean, who says there’s just one way outta here? Ace? How da we know they ain’t get a back door fer submarine’s ’r somethin’. At least if I’m there, I’ll know.”

Turning to Pacman, Bone Biter asks, “Ya comin’’r stayin’, Pacman? Just so’s I know whether ta shut the door ’r not.”

''I don't have all the world's right answers. If I did, I wouldn't need free-thinking people in the crew. No one is in the wrong here.
We make our own decisions and all do what we think is best. You're a good man, Bone Biter.
Need me to keep your gear on me? safeguarding it while you are out?''

“Thanks, Boss,” Bone Biter says to Headstone’s compliment. He starts taking off the little gear he has. “Yeah, please. I don’t wanna lose it if things get fragged, neh? It ain't much, but it's all I got.” He hands over his weapons, except for his rifle, and his wrist phone. “Might as well just leave the Remington in the seat, neh? They’d hafta walk passed ya ta get ta it anyways, Boss, so no sense in crowdin’ ya too much.”

''You got it, chummer'' giving him a respectful nod as he accepts the gear handed off to him.

Skye had already placed her pocket secretary and handgun on her seat, so she joins the group leaving the plane. "I'm hungry," she says. "We should decide on a time to be back though, since we won't be able to call back to anyone on the plane."

Ace shrugs. “When Management or Security say they have news that Ambrose has passed Houston? Until then, I plan to get a room. Let me know how many of you want one. Or if you all want to try to stay together, how many are staying, and I’ll see if I can get a suite or two.” He then approaches El Brigadier and begins speaking with him in Spanish.

"Feel free to check in in the morning," says Baby Blue. "If Revs doesn't come back with food, or someone doesn't stick their head in by noon tomorrow, we'll ask whoever's nearby if they can help us find you. Just in case you managed to get into trouble that somehow doesn't lead to Headstone and I looking down the barrel of a gun or twenty."

Ace doesn’t say a word. He just presses his left index finger to his right forefinger and his left thumb to his right thumb forming a rough O, and centers the O over the center of his head like a halo. The spider flashes Baby Blue a boyishly innocent smile before turning around, leaving the plane behind.

Bone Biter gets up from his seat as the last of the others get out. “Sorry, Boss,” he says. “I ain’t leavin’ fer the food… Well, not just fer the food noways. I just figure if Ace is out there, we gotta better chance a hangin’ on ta him if we’re with him than if we ain’t, neh?" He shrugs. “I mean, who says there’s just one way outta here? Ace? Turning to Pacman, Bone Biter asks, “Ya comin’’r stayin’, Pacman? Just so’s I know whether ta shut the door ’r not.”

Tears finally reading and catching up so some things will be in retrospect

Tears takes her bag with all hers and aces stuff except mine and aces cred sticks (aces already has it) places it in her seat
Tears exits the plane and says "With what i have vowed I will go where ace goes."

heads out with ace and where ever he goes and gets food when we get to an actual restaurant
