Mave
"We can only have faith Master Curwain. We've another group somewhere down here so it is not only those you see here. We will prevail," she says thinking or die trying but not speaking those words.

We will prevail...Mave's words are the sounds that echo in your mind as you follow Curwain.
Curwain leads you down the passage hesitating as he comes an open area where murky waters flow on either side of the narrow path between them. You make your way single file with Curwain leading followed by Torvik. After about 20 minutes you come to the end of the path which ends in three arched passages. Curwain says, "We go right here. Ahead is a large cavern filled with water to about my waist. Go up the stone steps on the other side and that is where we were ambushed. Beware that what lies beyond the waters. They came out of the walls." Curwain involuntarily shivers...before adding, "There were things in the waters. I felt them but got through without them attacking me. Two others who tried to follow me were not so lucky."

Mave
Mave smiles at Torvik's words. "I'm open to draining it but haven't the foggiest idea how. So I think a tight formation will be called for when we cross. Ready your weapons all." Then she takes Torvik aside to talk to him privately, not wanting to embarrass him, "Perhaps a piggyback ride on Kade or Bear might be called for, if you are agreeable."

Following Curwain's directions you soon reach the water filled room which measures 40 x 70. The entirety of the room is filled with cold looking brackish waters. Bits of waste and some old boards float in the waters. More disconcerting are the two armored bodies floating face down in the waters near the stone rising on the far side 70' across. A steady stream of water and others bits of offal fall from an opening in the ceiling above. It is then you see movement on the far side of the waters as these two creatures disappear beneath the waters.
The room is silent save for the constant dripping from above.

"I certainly don't like the looks of that," Mave says with a repugnant look on her face. "Hopefully there are only two and we can deal with them," she says looking to the others. "Let's gather together tightly and start across together. If anyone is attacked, stop and fight back."

Knowing time is of the essence, the group help Torvik up onto Kade's shoulders. Kade says, "I'll be moving slow, no offense Commander, but you aren't exactly light as feather."
Ruskin says, "There is another option commander. I plan to climb the walls above the waters." Kade adds, "He's just afraid he'll wash some of the dirt off." Ruskin snickers as he starts to ascend the stone wall.
Mave takes the lead, followed by Kade with Morwen and Bear on either side and Folcard and Curwain in the rear.
Ruskin deftly climb up and over the waters without incident. As the party enters the waters they see movement on either side and to the rear. Folcard calls out, "Something brushed against me in the waters." Curwain cries out in pain, and strikes with his weapon into the water. Blood starts to fill the murky water though you aren't sure if it's Curwain's or the creature's. "It's attached to my thigh," Curwain calls out.
Greywolf, if you'd rather Torvik attempt to climb, let me know.

Re: Mater Suspiriorum
Torvik chuckles but seeing Ruskin climb so easily he wonders if perhaps he should regain some dignity and attempt the climb himself... "Kade lets see if I can do tha climb meself set me down near where Ruskin started climbin'."

Mave
Mave moves to the right side and says, "Keep moving, I'll help Curwain." Once she reaches him, if she can attack without injuring Curwain, she will do so.

Uh-oh Indeed!
Kade, Morwen and Bear do keep moving as Mave strikes out (literally), though Folcard remains beside Curwain, drawing his two-hander. Mave strikes out but loses her footing on the rocky floorbed of the waters and down she goes, beneath the dark bracken pool. You must spend the next round getting your bearings. Luckily she manages to hold onto Talon and manages to miss hitting Curwain, and the thing attached to him.
Mave's fall and subsequent splashing in the water attracts the attention of the remaining two creature who start towards the the three not moving in a frenzy. So frenzied are they that one manages to impale himself on Mave's sword.
Morwen calls out, "Get out of the water and we can handle them if they follow." Kade, Morwen, Bear and Torvik reach the other side safely.
Allies injured: Curwain -15/?
Enemies injured: Creature2 impaled on Mave Sword (-7), Creature1 (uninjured), Creature3 (uninjured), Creature4 (uninjured and attached to Curwain)

Mave
Mave curses as she rises up from the dark and repellent mess she has fallen into. Surprised at the sudden heaviness of her sword, she raises it up to see what she has inadvertently hooked upon its tip.

Re: Mater Suspiriorum
As Mave rises and sees the thing causing her sword to be weighted down she flings her blade towards the stone wall where the creature lands with a crunch before slipping limply back into the waters.
Folcard swings his two-hander and slashes at the beast closest to him which tries to attack but is knocked back by his heavy blade. Ruskin seeing an opening flings his throwing knife at the creature Folcard just hit. The blade sinks into the creature's back and the thing stops moving and sinks below the fetid waters.
Curwain slashes his blade at the creature attached to his leg and releases its grip and goes still before it too sinks into the waters.
The remaining creatures propels itself away from the three in the water as another of Ruskin's throwing knives flies past it. And with that the three remaining in the water dash to the other side.
They quickly make their way through the passage on the other side and find themselves looking down on a large cavern filled with the three sister's minions and supplies. Across the way they catch sight of Thena, Bryne, Niserie and the others, on the opposite set of steps.
