"We should replace the silver or buy torches till we are full. so take the silver out for that."
Galreth takes 5 to cover his used torch.
Group fund, yes.

The door to the common room opens to frame a young bravo wearing a magnificent feathered hat and a red and blue striped jacket. A second glance shows Vesper's lips forming a wry smile from under the hat's brim. She reaches up to doff her headgear causing a cascade of her raven hair to fall about her shoulders. She has to break her pose to scratch her ribs under her green and red waiscoat which acting as both coat and bustier confirms rather than denies her female figure. Indeed her dancers legs are well shown off by the leather trousers completing her ensemble.terrymixon wrote: ↑Fri Jan 10, 2025 9:54 pmDraven will get Versper's clothes cleaned on the day of recovery and will return them in character shortly.Eris wrote: ↑Fri Jan 10, 2025 8:31 pm The entire day of 6/21 is spent resting and recovering. "I was able to speak to the Sherriff and the High Priest of Ord as they were together. The Sherriff authorized the Vermin clearing job for the Guild." he says, "As you started this, you get first crack at taking this job."
He shows you the parchment with the job offer...
By order of the Sherriff of Slateholm an offer of 60 gold pieces, 4 sets of Leather Greaves and anything of value found below ground during the operation is made for the clearance of all vermin in the tunnels below The Market District of this town.
"It's going up on the Job Board, but if you want it it's yours. However, there is one slight complication."
says the Guild Master, "The Sherriff insisted that you take one of his guardsmen with you and once he did, the High Priest insisted one of his acolytes accompany you as well. Them being along doesn't affect your pay or you keeping anything you find, but along with you they must go or the job is off."
"Fine by me," Draven said. "I'm in."
How is Vesper garbed today?
"He" hoists a trophy which turns out to be Vesper's undershirt now doubling as a scrip to bear a quantity of fresh warm pastries. She announces "Breakfast for heroes!" and then eyes Draven as her lips twitch into a playful smile "Although I'm not sure you get any for trading away my clothes and deserting my company when I was in my cups - scoundrel! You know that in drink I become suggestive... um... suggestible and yet you ditched a comrade for some high born's favours!" Then Vesper's eyes go dreamy "She was such a good kisser! And what did you two do once you had my dress??? You better not have torn the seams! From the state you were in I didn't think you could get yourself or anyone else into too much trouble... Why, of all things, did you suggest gambling? I woke up... never mind!" Her gaze carries beyond Draven "Ohhh... a bath! Oh, I really need a bath! I will trade you all the pastries - or quite possibly commit a murder for it!"
Vesper begins to shed clothing heading for the bath calling over her shoulder "No ogling! Jake please fetch me a towel!"

Yes to dividing up the silver. 30 copper, 37 silver, = 9 silver each to buy breakfast
Should we just run with the 60gp as the "Company's Warchest"?

"I would say I remember things differently, but I don't remember the trade at all. From what the other lady said, you initiated the trade, so this is all on you. As far as what we did while she was in your clothes, well, you'll just have to imagine that for yourself. I'll trade your clothes back for some pastries, though. For some reason, I'm starving."Tiglath wrote: ↑Sat Jan 11, 2025 6:27 pmThe door to the common room opens to frame a young bravo wearing a magnificent feathered hat and a red and blue striped jacket. As far as Draven goes she might well be feeling retrospectively guilty but is making no admissions. She certainly seemed relieved to see him and if she notices him noticing makes no adverse comment. If anything her continued bathing activities might be taking on some artfully crafted aspects of burlesque.
The closest she comes to either apology or admission is to comment "Once I'd got you up here from the tap room I really didn't think you'd go very far. It had taken all of my efforts to get you upstairs". The smile plays on her lips again as Jake "hands" her a towel "For a while I was beginning to think I'd lost my touch".
OOC: She appears to be related to Scrooge McDuck!

"I didn't think you would mind - scoundrel!" The carved wooden water bird that came with the bath as a floating soap holder bounces off Draven preceding Vesper's redundant noun or imperative "Duck!"* She then asks innocently "So, she was nicer than me then?" With a mercurial change of tack she adds "Since everything I wore last night also needs cleaning my current wardrobe remains as this towel and any shadow cats Galreth can conjure. So, for how long do you plan to hold my clothes hostage? Double scoundrel!" The bath's loofah is wetter than the duck but therefore much more unstable in flight and far easier to dodge.terrymixon wrote: ↑Sun Jan 12, 2025 4:29 am“Oh, I don’t mind. The other lady was nice. Draven grinned and sidestepped the loofah, unfortunately leaving it a path to Galreth. "I'm sure you are much nicer, but in a completely different way. Her attentions were much more... focused, if you know what I mean. I should hold your clothes hostage, like any self-respecting double scoundrel, but as last night was so pleasant, I suppose I'll give them to you now."Tiglath wrote: ↑Sun Jan 12, 2025 4:21 pm"I didn't think you would mind - scoundrel!" Re: Hide & Seek with Rats 6/21 [Vesper, Draven, Galreth, Gaurbal]
Vesper gives a satisfied smile and, draping her towel over Draven's shoulder, purrs very closely in his ear "That was a fine answer. I may have misjudged you as a scoundrel... but you may yet prove a mountebank". She dries herself and eventually gets fully dressed but, clearly not shy of being "half naked" seems to treat the common area akin to a theatrical dressing room where the players wander to and fro half in (and out) of costume. She gratefully sniffs the "clean" of her dress before being distracted by the scent of pastries and devouring one and a half (and feeding the remainder to Jake) before sitting herself in the window to comb out her black hair while singing to herself.terrymixon wrote: ↑Sun Jan 12, 2025 7:39 pmDraven grinned and sidestepped the loofah, unfortunately leaving it a path to Galreth. Finally, to either great relief (or disappointment) but surely a reduction in the stress of quite where to look, she puts on enough clothes to be "decent" and, after putting all of her remaining wardrobe to be deep cleaned, declares "Tomorrow we venture into the sewers to fight the rats and have coin in hand for the purpose. Do any need missile weapons or supplies? We could tour the bowyers and seek a midday meal about the city!"

As Draven thinks he may have passed some sort of test Vesper smiles to herself while shamelessly extending a leg to tie up her light woolen hose. "We could buy a sheaf of arrows at Dally and Daughters in the Artisan's District. I hear they sell a crossbow designed for one handed use. Useful if we're climbing up and down ropes again. I could likely use another dagger - if I see one I like".

Vesper replies casually "I do need to buy another seven veils". By way of truncated explanation she offers "They have to entirely match - otherwise it just doesn't work properly". She eyes the company levelly, possibly checking for artistic commitment, then allows "I did have a full set... but... well... well someone swallowed one!"terrymixon wrote: ↑Mon Jan 13, 2025 12:18 am"Sounds like a plan." She adds "We could work with the taverns we plan to perform at to ensure they fill the house and have musicians on that night. We could theme the performance, buy in the right costumes - it would make everything easier and increase the take".

By the way, a brown paper parcel has been delivered with four sets of leather Greaves inside. The Greaves add +1 to AC against attacks from very small creatures (or against legs in general).

OOC: Are all of you going shopping?
Vesper, Draven, Galreth, and Gaurbal leave the Guild Building and head back west past the Temples and turn left into the warrens of streets and alleys behind the Market Square. You don't get far before you are joined by the children from yesterday. They tag along with you and give you directions getting you right to Dally and Daughters.
The hand crossbow is still displayed in the window when you get there and push open the door. A bell jingles above you as you enter the dimly lighted shop. It is smells of wood and oil as you walk up to a counter.
From a door leading into the back a young woman of perhaps 25 steps through the curtain into the shop and goes behind the counter.
"Morning!" she says, "Can I help you?"
