"Let's do that then" - Thorin nodded, turning to Laban - "Will you show us what has gotten you so distraught at your home?"

Turn 3 Day 1 - A Calamity? Probably Not!
40 minutes have passed since arrival.

TURN

Laban brightens for the first time you've seen since you returned to the village. He pats down his pockets, "Well, I can pay you. It'd be nice to be able to sleep a little easier. I have the money in my shop. How does 100gp sound?" he suggests as you wander over to The Dancing Needle. You pass rows of immaculately kept tulips and beautiful trimmed hedges. Laban sniffles, but perhaps giving him something to focus on has taken his mind of things.

"There's a handful of them down there," says Laban as he opens up his shop. "I don't know what they are but they're hideous and chewing up my best cloth. It's a travesty." he sniffs, making his way through the small property to the backroom. A trapdoor sits under a pile of sacks in a corner. "They give me the awful jitters..." he admits, hesitant to remove the sacks that have been keeping the things down there.

"What do they look like, Laban?" - Thorin asked, before they started their descent.

"spindly things." he mentioned off-handedly, lingering in the doorway. "Maybe spiders? But they nibble on everything. I barely spend any time down there at the moment... too creepy. Doris stopped coming to the shop because of them, for the time being."

"Just a few spiders doesn't seem too bad, might help if we can see a bit." Moss lights a torch in his off-hand wielding his short sword at his side. "No point taking our time I suppose," Moss says to Thorin as he pushes the torch out in front of him walking with Thorin below. "Kailu, you got our back? I don't want anything sneaking up behind me."
