Hello!
My name is Chilrona (he/him). I have been playing roleplaying games for 7 years, beginning with D&D 5e. As I played it though there continued to be things that bugged me about it, and I found myself more and more drawn to the OSR. My current favorite system is ShadowDark RPG, but I also love OSE/BX as well as Knave 1e and 2e. I'd be interested in trying out Swords and Wizardry or DCC or some of the other really cool systems out there.
Anyway, I've gotten a bit tired of trying to find people interested in playing/running OSR games; they simply don't exist in my area. I don't really enjoy online games as it's hard for me to be myself through a webcam with strangers. So I want to get into play-by-post! If there are any games currently taking new players, I am very interested!

There are plenty of OSR games looking for players around here.
If you're willing to try something new (but still OSR), the Shadow of the Kinslayer is still looking for players. It uses the Dark Dungeons X system, which is based generally on BECMI/RC.

I've been there, and I know the feeling completely. A friend of mine introduced me to tabletop gaming through 5E, and like you, the more I played the more it bugged me, so I started exploring the OSR and eventually found this wonderful site.
Play-by-post is also a wonderful format. It's a bit slow, but it's always running in the background rather than only getting a few hours every other week or so like you might get in face-to-face games. It's also really nice having the time to think about and craft a response, since time between posts is at a minimum minutes, but usually hours or days.
