Prologue: May Day! May Day! I'm going down...to Baladar's

Lia pockets the coins mentally noting to keep an eye on this Brondulm fellow. Opening her coin purse and dropping them in, she tightens the drawstring. She looks to the others, "I have no objection to seeking out this sellsword in town." Privately she thought another female would be welcome since she was amongst strangers and a local might be helpful in negotiations. "So town and then onward to ruins?," she asks glancing at her companions.

"So, Brandywine," Vali turns to Brondulm, "Who's this warrior-woman you wanna hire? It ain't the Amazon Brinna Birget, is it? Cuz if you try and snag any coins from her, she'll toss you on yer backside!" Vali and Baladar both chuckle at the thought.

Brondulm

I am rubber and you are glue whatever you say to sticks to you. Grow up ugly little gnome. Are we ready to move on?

Myrrh

"Lets get moving and find this Brinna."

Myrrh starts off back to town.

"Agreed", Anter says with the wise Myrrh.

Pardon my offense my fair elf, no need to bluster. Something tells me we will have plenty of opportunities for you show how dangerous you can be when we get to the ruins.

"All is well, and no offense is taken" - Ellith smiled.

Vali speaks (while eyeing Brondulm evilly), "I found the map, so I keep the map. I agreed to go with you, so I showed you the map. And I'll take my 5 gold too."

"That is fair enough" - Ellith nodded at the gnome - "Do you know if there is a mapmaker or seller in town?"

Anter"Agreed", Anter says with the wise Myrrh.

As if he understood the conversation, Faron stood up and began moving along after the others with Ellith.

Brondulm

Stalks after the rest of the party still peeved by the gnome's taunting wishing he had the ability to let things like that roll off his back and not irritate him so much.

Once we get a map of the area, what other supplies do we need? Should we split up when we get back to the village? Maybe the holy lady and me can head over to the tavern and see if we can find Brinna while the rest head to outfitters to get supplies and a map. asking to the group as they proceed down the path back to Tegel Village.

Vali (npc)

Vali nods to Baladar as everyone walks down the trail from his cabin back to the main road leading out of the northwest of Tegel.

"This is a small farming village. We ain't got no fancy mapmaker," Vali replies to Ellith. "And Brinna Birgit ain't no simple mercenary. She'd want an equsl cut. And she's worth it," the little gnome says with admiration.

Vali continues, "If you want to hire random men-at-arms, that can be done at the Daisy Inn's bar or at one of the two taverns- the White Horse Sleigh or the Bark & Byte. If you want Brinna, she is probably at the Boarding House."

(OOC: The group will be passing the Bark & Byte on their way back into the village square.
The Daisy Inn is on the north side of the village center, while the White Horse Sleigh is on the east side.
Altarontha's Boarding House is on a side street off the southwest side of the square.

"If by holy lady, you are referring to me, then the name is Lia." she remarks to Brondulm, "I have no objection to accompanying you to speak with Brinna." Then to the others, "She should receive a fair share. Equal pay for equal work (Sorry couldn't resist) and likely she will be taking risks for that share."

Myrrh heads into town. "I only need some rations. Anyone else need anything?"

Vali asks the group, "Are we splitting up to run errands? Who is doing what? When and where should we re-group?"

Brondulm

In an attempt to get back in the good graces of Vali and the rest of the party, he says:

Vali you seem to have some acquaintance with this Brinna Birgit. If you think your presence would positively influence her to join our company, please accompany Lia and me to Altarontha's Boarding House to see Brinna Birgit. If not, you can join the others at Fec's or the Trading post to acquire supplies. We can all meet in front of the Bark & Byte in one hour. If Brinna Birgit declines our offer, we may want to try find some additional mercenaries there.

"Probably best we just stay together, but if we do split up I am just picking up some food."

"Do Lia or Brondulm need items from the store? If so, we should not break up. Otherwise fine, see you at the Bark & Byte in one hour."

"I do not need any supplies, but will go with you" - the elf commented to Myrrh and Anter.

"An equal share is how it should be" - he nodded in agreement to Lia, before they left.

"The store" (whichever you choose) can provide more background info, but I am not sure you need any right now.

We will definitely be RP-ing your intro to Brinna, so you can gauge how she will be RP-ed in-play.

"Hiring more muscle"... Do you want some rando men-at-arms? Or more equal partners?(which will dilute your xp and treasure rewards).

This can be discussed in-character in this thread, or as metagame chat in the OOC thread.

Both stores sell a week's worth of prepackaged standard rations for 6gp. (A 20% markup over the typical 5gp.)

Myrrh can subtract 6 gp and add the rations to his equipment.

I am ok with handwaving the purchases, but it is always nice to do a first time meeting with the General Store owner We can do it next time if we survive.
By the way, I am guessing I need to buy food for Faron also, so Ellith will do that.
