To clarify, Mary the prostitute is not conscious. She fainted after witnessing sanity-destroying sights of necromancy and horror that no mind should have to endure:

The swarming rats will wait no longer. The diseased vermin claim their payment and feast upon the living corpse!

"...No! Please! Help me!..." the bloody ruin begs as she is being devoured "alive."

Mary's screams escalate into pitched madness. She faints dead away, plunging to the bloody stones.

Suddenly, a constable whistle is heard close by!

Mary, come with me- we can't be found here! She'll take Mary's hand and try to urge her along, but if necessary, she will leave her behind- being arrested might be better for Mary than being free to walk the streets with a killer on the loose.

...I assume that Mary is left behind for the city guard. If that assumption is wrong, Scott, please let me know asap. Thanks.

Yes. Magic longswords glow a 20 foot radius of illumination.

Thanks for posting.

I think we have 5 PCs vying for the front or "near the front:"

Mouser ("mouser has infravision... he could be up front scouting somewhere.") *
Telkis ("front row since someone may be able to attack over him?") **
Ingrid ("I'll go first. I fear those things that killed the poor girl are unquiet dead.")
Jerome ("near the front")
Faron ("toward the front of marching order... Maybe 2nd or 3rd?")

Then we have:

Urdur ("near the rear of the group")
Bo ("back middle or rear")


Thoughts?

*Raven: For Mouser's infravision to work, he'll need to be beyond the 60' range of Urdur and Bo's continual light stones.

** Pixie: Grothnak could attack over Telkis with his polearm. I don't think anyone has a polearm now. But Ingrid could Turn Undead over Telkis.
