Good strategic lesson here... we should explore the hexes adjacent to the Spire first and work our way out to maintain decent proximity. If we are ever looking at a superior force, we run back and pray for lightning bolts!

We have a couple folks that'll be out for a while and a couple that vanished after I added them. So our second expedition may be on hold for a week or two.

I'd rather not wrangle a group of 8 or 10 via pbp. Yet, anyway. Still getting my feet wet with running a game in this format.

As it is, no one is on hold. They've either taken a few days off the forum or vanished. So we're good.

I actually prefer to wait before I start playing with my third character. It would be overwhelming for me to have so many at the same time. Let's keep him in reserve.

As a general fyi to our posters - I roll for wandering monsters every turn. On a 6, something appears.

If you begin to think I just want to kill you, it's only those d6's talking. OD&D specified checks every round. Subsequent editions took it to every other round or even less frequently. I prefer the old way.
