I've added Rex (Rex) and Tarlyn (Steve) to the game.

Hi All, not sure what I am going to make. Will let the dice help me decide and roll my scores.
Re: Off Topic all things OOC
Rolls were poor but he should make an OK fighter. Do we get anything extra equipment wise for being 7th level?

Re: Off Topic all things OOC
I'm still thinking on the magic items as my creation page said i allow you selecting starting equipment or selecting starting money rolling for it and then buying stuff. Don't worry Chris gave me a decent suggestion for magic items for characters of a 7th level and I'm sure Scott and the rest here could give good additional feedback as well.

Re: Off Topic all things OOC
Well lets spit ball this here is the current suggestion.
1. One magic melee weapon no better than +2 no flametounge or frostbrand etc just base type.
2. One magic range weapon no better than +2 if you take a bow/crossbow you get 12 + 1 arrows too, darts, throwing daggers, shurikens, sling you get 12 +1 bullets.
3. 3 other magic item Xp value not more than 15,000
4. Magical armor not better than +1, for bracers af AC no better than Bracers AC 5
5. 3 potions.
Of course this is just a suggestion and feel free to modify or ignore. It kind of depends on how heroish you want us to be and how tough the module is.

Re: Off Topic all things OOC
When I'm at home and can look through stuff, I'll check and see approximately what a 7th level character would have been able to earn in Adventurers League. I know we aren't playing AL, but off the top of my head, that seems like a lot of magic we'd be getting if we go with your list, Ed.
On November 2nd I will be participating in another 24 hour game of Dungeons & Dragons as part of Extra Life. This organization uses gaming to help raise money to donate to children's hospitals. I'm raising money for Marshfield Children's Hospital in Marshfield, WI, and all money I raise will go to that hospital. All donations are tax-deductible. Re: Off Topic all things OOC
Yes that's what it sounded like but again it was just the only suggestion so far that I was given. I appreciate the information that AL can provide so I look forward to seeing what you find out Scott. The only magic item i am 100% sure on giving everyone is at least 1 healing potion.

Re: Off Topic all things OOC
Another valid and great point was made to me as well we do need to consider rarity of the magic items.
Treasure Rarity
At 7th level you guys likely only found 1 "rare" magic item and potentially 1-2 common or uncommon magic items.

Re: Off Topic all things OOC
Healing potions don't even really count as magic items in 5e, as they are standard items for purchase in the PHB. More powerful versions, yes, those are considered magic items, but the basic Potion of Healing is not.

Re: Off Topic all things OOC
That'd be my bad then on the old lingo versus new lingo I meant one of the healing potions considered to be "higher" quality in the magical item realm. Thanks for the catch on that Scott.
Edit: Btw added Monsieur Rose to the game so we are full up now.

Re: Off Topic all things OOC
No clue on the magic items but the list looks like a lot. Something like 3 lesser magic items maybe.

Re: Off Topic all things OOC
So, based on the Treasure Points a character would earn in AL, you could get with everything you earned from Tier 1:
Remember, this is from the current season of AL, and there have been a number of complaints about the lack of magic items. Previous seasons there were more opportunities to acquire magic items. Regardless, this is not AL and obviously we are not playing by AL rules, but it does give a decent frame of reference for figuring out how much magic characters should get. AS far as getting miscellaneous items not listed above, if you choose to go that route, at 7th level, we would be very unlikely to have anything that isn't listed as common, uncommon, or rare. Hopefully, this is not too confusing. If so, I'll try to simplify.
- Any combination of two of the following:
- Bag of Holding
- Chime of Opening
- Eyes of Minute Seeing
- Potion of Greater Healing
- Potion of Superior Healing
- Spell Scroll- Cantrip
- Spell Scroll- 1st Level
- Spell Scroll- 2nd Level
- Spell Scroll- 3rd Level
- Spell Scroll- 4th Level
- Spell Scroll- 5th Level
Or one of the following: - Cloak of Elvenkind
- Slippers of Spider Climbing
- Rod of the Pact Keeper +1
- Wand of the War Mage +1
- Shield +1
- Weapon +1
- Portable Hole
- Potion of Supreme Healing
- Spell Scroll- 6th Level
- Spell Scroll- 7th Level
- Spell Scroll- 8th Level
- Armor +1 (chain mail, chain shirt, leather, padded leather, scale mail, spiked)
- Cape of the Mountebank
- Rod of the Pact Keeper +2
- Wand of the War Mage +2
- Shield +2
- Weapon +2

Re: Off Topic all things OOC
I like the list from AL I may use that but give one additional item to each of you of your choosing as long as it is listed as Common, Uncommon or Rare. As well as a better healing potion. I'm still milling it over but i do really appreciate all the additional input.

Re: Off Topic all things OOC
Interesting. I would probably go Bag of Holding and one of the potions of healing for tier 1 and a +1 weapon for tier 2.
