Rolfo reaches down to collect the gold pieces, keeping one for himself and offering one each to his two nearest companions. "What's that, Martha? Cursed? I don't think... well, ya may be right, maybe I shouldna pick strange golden knick-knacks from just anywhere..."

Burt and Heltel maintain their spots in the marching order and keep an eye out for anything unusual or dangerous, about which they'll warn the party immediately.

With only a cursory inspection you find the gold leads directly to a hidden door in the western wall. You open the door and move inside.
The narrow hall is lined with cut stone blocks. Dusty cobwebs hang from the low ceiling and time itself seems to weigh upon this ancient place. A trio of upended chests rest in the shadows in the rear of the chamber amid a scattering of
coins. Tracks in the dust record the path of recent looters

On the floor including on the steps that lead you here you find: 6 GP 3 SP 3 CP

DM: Actions? There are 3 chests at the end of this small room.

Hello! I read the last 14 pages and have a good idea what is going on. Now how can I introduce my character the rest of the party and adventure with them? Excited :)

Eldarial moves into the room slowly, spear in hand. She stands near the wall to her right, watching the shadows. "Looks like it's already been picked pretty clean," she murmurs.

Darvin draws his elven short sword hoping it will glow or do something of note, while he feels for any tremors from sources other than the party.

Crow asks if anyone smells any more gold - besides what they already found - while examining the footprints in the dust to see if he can figure out how many, and what sort of creatures looted this place.

Aengus edges forward toward the overturned chests and pushs the nearest one with his spear, Bronn stays near Aengus's side, spear at the ready.

Great! Is there a map of this lower level? The one that the dwarf found and is now in. Just trying to get my bearings before posting. Thx...

ooc: If no one scoops the coins on the floor Goratrix will.

"My, this is a tidy sum. Ne'er seen so many gold pieces in one place!" he says with a tinge of greed in his voice.

"There be no dead bodies here, Martha, and naught to fear..." Rolfo moves into the room and peers at the coins scooped up by Goratrix, whispering: "There be enough to share, now laddie? And tuck 'em away quick-like. There's a fair troop behind us." Rolfo will help with the inspection of the apparently empty chests.

After heading down the steps and into the hallway, Uriel enters the room. "Wow, you guys sure are doing a fine job of cleaning up this place and freeing our village of the evils that lie within."

"My name is Uriel, and like yourselves also seek adventure. But my needs and wants are not as important as to those of my beloved god...Choranus. It is he that I listen to and it is he that guides me. Such is the reason I am truly here. It is my calling."

Darvin draws his elven short sword hoping it will glow or do something of note, while he feels for any tremors from sources other than the party. His short sword does nothing of the sort and he feels no tremors from any other than the party.

Crow asks if anyone smells any more gold but the smell dissipates past this room. The footprints are numerous and all appear to match those of large humanoids.

Aengus edges forward toward the overturned chests and pushes the chest farthest to the west with his spear. The box rocks a bit and the lid flips open revealing nothing inside. Bronn stays near Aengus's side, spear at the ready.

DM: Add the money to your sheet.

Rolfo help with the inspection of the inspection of the chests and finds they are all empty but the middle one upon inspection is clearly 4 inches too high, a perfect spot for a hidden compartment on the back.

Aengus shoves the center chest with his spear, while saying, "Now what be in ya, eh?"

Bronn holds his spear at the ready.

Darvin scowls at his short sword and then takes a couple short swings with it.

Crow says, "If they left gold behind like that, they either carried away much more, or something put them in an awful hurry . . ."

Uriel, scans the ceiling and examines its construction while keeping an eye out for any beast hiding within the shadows.

"Careful with that!" Eldarial warns, taking a couple of steps away from the chest and those poking at it with their spears. "It might be trapped!"

Seeing the room with the chests is already full, Ragnar will procede a few steps further down the stairs and sniff for gold. He wasn't going to line his pockets by following a the rear of the group.

A bit oblivious at what is going on around him, Goratrix checks the coins to see if indeed the metal is true.

"God's teeth! There's three and thirty plus six hundreds worth of coppers here, enough for everybody! If we find nothing else this will pay us for our efforts handsomely."
unaware that some have already delved deeper he concludes, "Let us proceed further, shall we?"

DM: I forgot this bit earlier
The door into this room with the chests was unlocked but swollen with moisture and had to be forced open.

Uriel, scans the ceiling and examines its construction while keeping an eye out for any beast hiding within the shadows. The ceiling is solid damp stone but as a beekeeper Uriel isn't very knowledgeable in working with stone so he's not sure on the age or wear of the construction.

"Careful with that!" Eldarial warns, taking a couple of steps away from the chest and those poking at it with their spears. "It might be trapped!"

For Ragnar
Seeing the room with the chests is already full, Ragnar proceeds a few steps further down the stairs and sniffs for gold. He doesn't smell gold but he sees the wide stone steps descend into a long hall. The walls are decorated with elaborate tile mosaics depicting foul ceremonies to horrific and baleful fiends. The walls are slick with condensation and black algae. The condensation runs in rivulets and collects in a long, brackish pool set in the center of the hall

DM: I need a Luck Check from Ragnar so D20 + Luck mod if your unfamiliar.

Aengus shakes his head at Goratrix, "Nay, there is more in this chest, and whatever it is was worth hidin." Aengus jabs his spear toward the center chest without hitting it.
