As a note to Max Vale, your character background for "Beya 'the Blade'" would fit the area being from Falcon Bay.

So where would my barbarian halfling fit? Any Nordic types with thralls around?

I should have my character up by tomorrow. Six day work weeks tend to cut into creation time.

What is the Campaign ID Number so that I can add it to the campaign section of the character sheet?

DH: Roger that...will update background to say "Falcon Bay"; thanks! Quick question: is this a home-brew world of your own or does it come from an allready existing game/book/etc. setting? Great world map by the way!

Jester: I know you were asking about playing either a Fighter or a Magic User. The first answer that popped in my head was "Fighter" since we allready have a MU (me); but seeing as how we have the world's strongest Halfling and an Elf in the party as well; I think you could play either one you want and be okay. :) We have a Halfling, a MU, an Elf and a Thief at this point. Looks like we just need a Cleric to round it all out! :)

Everybody: If DH doesn't have a problem with it; I rolled pretty good for my starting coin (110gp); and as a MU there's not many expensive things I needed to buy; I have 26gp left and would be happy to lend up to 15-20gp to someone who needs a few more coins for something. Let me know!

DH: What alignment system are you using? The standard BECMI L/N/C or the 9 from AD&D. My character came from a campaign where we were using the 9; which is why she's listed as NG. I can change that to Neutral if we're only using the 3.

Looking forward to this game!

Going down the questions....

The # is 75

This is a homebrew, the map base was in the public domain, so I modified for my own needs. Thanks on the map love, as i like my map too. This world will have a somewhat "Elder Scrolls" feel to it.

As for the "borrowing gold" Not pregen, but once your off you can let someone borrow money, that between the characters. The campaign start will be not your usual "Meet in a tavern" setup.

I am using the 3 way alignment so its just L, N, or C.

As for fighter or MU, that is up to you, and the party.

As always, the latecomer gets stuck playing the heal-bot-paramedic. :D

I cannot find information about the languages Halflings start the game with on my crappy Rules Cyclopedia PDF, and the number of extra languages from INT doesn't seem to be coherent from one BD&D edition to another.

Can someone help me out here? :)

Oh no!

Hopefully it will be the old 90's more classical feel and not the more recent "huge giant insects and stuff" one.

Hahahha

No, more as in "A empire with legions and local lords with the ability to deal with local problems, and plenty of lore and old ruins to explore. "

I have no idea what an "Elder Scrolls" world would be like as I don't know the reference. Is this a book series or computer game series or something? Since having a child; I don't read anywhere near as much as I used to and I haven't played computer games in a long time; and I was never that into them even when I did. LOTS of game references go right over my head! :)

I've always liked playing Clerics; so if Jester really wants to play a Magic User and nobody else wants to play a Cleric; I've got no problem playing one.

Computer game series, but dont worry, its not anything too outlandish. BTW, thank you for making the charicters quickly, looks like this game will be starting quicker then I expected.

I'm currently at work so I don't have access to my books; but I seem to remember that Halfling's don't have a language of thier own; they speak "Common" like humans. Maybe I'm remembering 1st Edition though.....not sure.

I checked both the basic box and the RC, and halflings do not get special languages like Elves and Dwarves do. However with your high intelligence you do get a additional language, so you will have Common, Trade, and a language of your choice.

That actually makes sense if you consider most Halflings to live like Tolkein-esque Hobbits; i.e. Insular and frowning upon adventours types....

OK I've got two characters to choose from here. One a pragmatic fire mage that pretents to be a nobody in order to seem less than he is. The other a wild eyed thug with a distain for laws and a hatred of the people that left him for dead, in an area near where the campaign starts.

Which one would the other players like to see in this campaign?

I vote for Skorvuld Ernhinsait.

With a name like that and being of the Fighter profession, give him a Chaotic alignment and he and Coenbeorht can be best buddies.

I'd vote for the Pragmatic Mage who likes fire myself....the other seems way too much like our Barbarian Halfling and I tend to find that multiple characters who are very similiar tends to kind of diminsh both.... But that's just my two cents; by all means go with whichever one appeals to YOU more! :)

Is there going to be any hireling for this game?

The reason I ask is that my characters need to hire some people. If I play the Mage I need a body guard to help keep me alive. If I play the Fighter I'm gonna want to hire a healer to assist in keeping him up and fighting.
