Kraden tries to steal himself against the desire to vommit and swings his longsword at the troglodyte again:

1d20 → [19] = (19)
1d8 → [6] = (6)

Ankhar tries to keep his foe at bay, but apparently fails to land an effective strike with his sword.

Urgh, not that it matters with the really pitiful hit roll I just got, but what's our campaign ID so I can set up a cool dice rolling thingy like Zeb did above?

Test rolling a macro

Input: To hit: [1d20], damage with mace: [1d6+1]
Output: To hit: [1d20] = 3, damage with mace: [1d6+1] = 1+1 = 2

Refresh this window and resubmit the form to re-roll this macro.

Close This Window

mjulius: That's how I know I'm home.
Pulpatoon: The whole point of PbP is to take the scheduling pressure off the game. We're just chatty because we're so eager!
Scott308: ...everyone should be reminded of just how wonderful the people they play games with here can be in real life.
Leitz: Quality and quantity wise, I think US is the best I've seen.
Paladin: I can promise terror, glory, and riches...or a quick and brutal death.

Her legs suddenly wanting to give out beneath her, Etruna coughs and tries to steady herself against the vile reek of the trog.

Goddess! I can take strong smells -- I've slept in a badger's den for a week. But this stink has reduced me to that of a new born foal!

Taking quick, shallow breaths to limit further exposure to the trog's powerful secretions, Etruna grips her sickle-sword and looks for an opportunity to forcibly, and hopefully painfully, extract the offensive glands from the reptilian humanoid.

Make an attack roll: [1d20] = 9

The troglodyte comes at Nuonne with fervor and manages to strike Nuonne on the shoulder where his armor absorbs most of the blow (Nuonne takes 1 point of damage). This leaves the troglodyte open to the attacks of Viscata and Kraden who sever the arm and crush the knee of the foul creature.

A human clad in chainmail with a dark symbol about his neck appears opposite of the waining fire, his guant face made almost demonic in the reflecting light. Beside him is another human with scalemail and shield standing in a defensive stance.

Intentions for round 7.

Nuonne nods grimly, "and his lieutenant..."

If stinky is still alive then I'll continue the mace attack:

To Hit: 13 To Damage: 5

If stinky bit it, and there is noone else close to melee, then it'll be a Light spell in the eyes of the cleric, or (if I can switch) if the cleric is hit hard, then his fighter buddy.

Kraden, after seeing the grotesque troglodyte get finished of, turns his head quickly to stare at the two opposing them across the waining fire. As soon as he is able, he will charge forward and attack the evil-looking human in chainmail. If the other armored human moves to intercede, the ranger will attack him, staying low to allow missile fire from his compatriots.

If Etruna can she will hurl a sling bullet towards the armored opponent who may be a cleric.

Make an attack roll: [1d20] = 12

The man with scale, shield, and long sword moves in front of the unholy priest to protect him against attack. He manages to get his shield in the way to stop Rondar's arrow and the sling bullet from Etruna bounces off his armor. The priest begins speaking loudly in a dark tongue!

Kraden rushes in through the oiled area to engage the evil fighter, who seems happy to trade blows (They both miss). Kraden is unaware that his boot has caught fire (Kraden will take 1 point of fire damage).

Nuonne begins his own casting while the priest chants. Nuonne completes his prayer before the evil priest and suddenly the area is filled with a great light emanating from the eyes of the foul servant of a dark god.
A shriek of denial comes from the priest as he is virtually blinded by the spell.

Others stand where they are, unwilling to cross the fired area for fear of suffering the same fate at Kraden's boot.

Still others stand surprised by the light of the spell that has stricken the evil cleric.

Thus ends round 7.

Intentions for round 8.

Viscata and Ankhar stand by the north tunnel that leads to #7 with Etruna behind them.
Rondar, Halmod, and Nuonne stand in the 8 passage way.

The fading oil fire is in the square southwest of the #8. In that same square is where Kraden is dueling the evil fighter. Behind those two is the light cursed screaming priest of evil.

Nuonne smiles grimly saying almost to himself, "light of Dyleus." And then, taking out mace, charges across the fire to attack the evil priest.

Dang! At least I'm there to help the ranger. To Hit - 3, pitiful and unneeded damage 2.

"Stupid men," Etruna mumbles, as she abstains from hurling another sling bullet lest she hit Kraden or Nuonne, whose desire for melee is such that they are willing to walk through fire just to exchange blows with an opponent.

As the corner of the hallway is currently blocked from the melee and she has no item nor spell with which to offer assistance, Etruna pokes her head into the nearby room (ooc: room 7) and looks for anything that might be of use to fend off their attackers. If the room appears benign in nature, she will enter a few feet to do a quick survey of the interior and then return to the hallway. Otherwise she will see what she can see from the hallway.

Seeing Nuonne run through the still burning fire Halmod makes to follow him and then stops short. "Perhaps a more prudential course of action would be warranted," the Gnome says as he drops his short sword and pulls a dagger from his belt. Taking careful aim, he throws it at the scale mail clad human hoping to avoid hitting his comrade as he makes towards the priest.

To hit roll: 15
http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/2609469/

Damage: 1
http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/2609469/

OOC:
I figured that since he was changing weapons, even quickly by just dropping his sword instead of resheathing it, Halmod would only get one dagger thrown instead of the usual two. Let me know if there's not enough time even or a single cast (I don't think it would make much of a difference in the damage department!)

Viscata pushes forward trying to get at the armored figures, being distracted by the flaming earth, she misses unless they throw themselves on her sword. http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/2609581/

Ankhar continues to be completely useless in combat (http://www.unseenservant.com/Default.as ... one&id=431).

He keeps engaged with the creature he is fighting, but will try to check if another position nearby would be able to give him a slight advantage (higher ground, etc).

OOC: Nuonne didn't have a torch. Is that the first round of the Light spell? Does it go 4 more? Just trying to get a sense of time now that we've entered combat to the frustration of the Druid! :D
