Dungeon Master:

Battle Aftermath Actions Needed!

Ok, so part of the Actions will be to move the Orc corpses as per Wexley's, use as owlbear bait idea, after all Orcs here, are made sure to be dead.

Any body searches? just give me d6 rolls for possible hidden items.

Seeing the combat has ended, after speaking with Borum, Wexley sets about to moving the bodies into position. Slitting throats a final time and checking the bodies swiftly as he does.

random check [1d6] = 1
random check [1d6] = 2

Given the opportunity, Wexley sets severed limbs aside on his own cloak for Mr. Choe to place at the designated spots.

Mr. Choe, do NOT put them in place till we evacuate the cavern with Mort and use the cloak to really swing it into the cave on the final limb. Remember, Mort is in no condition for swift movement or combating an OwlBear.


Borum, I wouldn't advise we hang here long. If the Orcs won swiftly against the last party, or have a scout we missed, we will likely have company soon if these don't come back

Kormak starts cutting off orc heads and then smiles takes two heads and places them in the vacant spots at the cave entrance. "Hahaha fitting you think Victor?"

Mort helps search the dead orcs and pile them in a wall of the dead.

Kormak once done chopping off orc heads and trying to stuff them all in the vacant spaces at the front of the cave joins in helping stack the bodies.

Dungeon Master:

The adventurers get to work, piling 6 Orc bodies at the junction of the two Corridors.

Then 2 Orc bodies at about 10 ft in.

1 Orc body at the cave entrance.

Kormak took 2 Orc Heads & placed them in the vacant niche in the entrance & in the lookout post niche.

Other body parts were hacked & to be used as bait for the Owl Bear.

At this point i will assume the Adventurers are now all outside the cave entrance, some with Orc body parts in their hands

Ok, just to update on the time of the current actions:

6:30 am: Arrived inside the Caves' Valley
8:00 am: Finished setting up bait outside & flammable debris inside cave.
8:15 am: Waited 15 minutes for smoke to do it's thing
8:16 am: Started piling/dumping rocks into front of cave entrance
8:46 am: Rocks tumbled from above onto 3 of the adventurers
8:48 am: Adventurers regroup under a group of trees in the valley
8:49 am: Adventurers discuss next plan of action
8:59 am: Wexley quitely retrieves caltrops in front of known Orc cave where 1st Adventure party met their fate
9:09 am: Wexley finishes
9:10 am: Mr. Choe comes back down from rim of Caves' Valley, mentions smaller sized footprints
9:11-9:21am: more group discussions on what to do next
9:22am Wexley again spreads caltrops; now in front of new cave entrance
9:32am Wexley finishes
9:33am Party begins searching floor, ceiling, & walls of new cave for traps & concealed doors.
10:03am Party finds no traps or concealed doors the first 20 ft so they set fire to tarred netting on ceiling
10:23am Party heard shouting from within & spotted figures running past down a corridor
10:24am Mr. Choe gets some of the Party to climb back up to the rim of the valley
10:34am Mr. Choe's group now on the rim.
10:44am Lutha hears noises
10:54am an Owlbear is spotted
10:59am Mr. Choe goes towards the Owlbear cave, rest of his party climb back down into the valley
11:00am Mr. peeked inside Owlbear cave
11:01am Mr. Choe climbs back down to rejoin the party
11:02am-11:15am Party decides to try a 3rd cave entrance
11:16am Party finds that the cave is lined with decaying heads in niches

11:39am Wexley & Mort pause to hear for noise, heard like a metallic clanking
11:41am-11:51am the middle of the corridor & the north niche filled wall is searched for traps & concealed doors. Mort finds the empty niche backed with grey cloth
11:52am Mr. Choe fired an arrow into the grey cloth backed niche
11:53am Mr. Choe Retrieves the arrow & then lights a torch
11:54am Spears come Hurling from either end of the west-east corrdior from the darkness : One Spear hits Mort : Mr. Choe tosses torch down west corridor, lights up some Orcs
11:55am-11:57 Orc Battle Ensues
11:58-12:25pm Adventurers search & collect bodies; arrange as bait for Owlbear
12:26pm Adventurers now outside of cave with Orc body parts in their hands

Borum, should we begin to move back to the camp to retrieve our horses and return to the keep? Mr. Choe and I can bait the trap for the Owlbear and then catch up quickly with all of you in a few minutes. That way we're not apart from everyone too long and you can still offer us support should things go wrong?

Also, what is being done about the 18 Spears, 9 Leather armor suits & 9 medium Shields?

Cautiously approaching the Owlbear cave, Wexley tosses in the last limb by whipping the cloak around and around his head with a sling-like motion to fling it deep into the cavern's darkness and then quickly hightails it back to the camp, calling out warning to the others as he does.

Come on Mr. Choe, Kormak, unless you want to be OwlBear appetizers?

As he runs, he will slip his own bow from its quiver and notch an arrow, moving in a zig-zag motions without pattern to ensure he is a difficult target till reaching the main group once more.

If no one wants the spears, if we could hide them for our later return, I can set a trap for the Owlbear or Orc survivors with them. Armor and shields are up to you all, I have no need for them and being as bulky as they are, they'd only slow us down.

Kormak follows Wexley by example "Here you go owlbear enjoy the meal." he then hightails it back to camp.

I also don't care what is done with the armor and shields likely they smell of orc urine anyways. I say use the spears as a trap or fense of spears.

Mr. Choe Smash Spear!

Before setting the owlbear bait Choe breaks every spear in 1/2 over his knee.

Then he helps with the baiting.

Choe is pleased with the mix of subtle and brute tactics - a dink here, a smash there -- variety, like a new dress, spices up Choe's life.

If so the prep for such a thing occurs prior to putting down the Orc bait from the Orc Cave to the Owlbear Cave.
