Durgo goes about seeking his upgrades. The master bowyer has been commissioned to craft a bow of superior quality. While not counting as a 'magic item', the bow does augment the young warriors own superior strength, adding more lethality to the damage output the piercing shafts inflict and increasing the range the arrows can cover. as composite longbow, ranges of 60/120/210 yards and factoring in a +1 to hit shirt range and -1/-4 penalty rather than -2/-5 at the greater distances. Normal arrow damage increases from d6 to 2d4.
House of Valeron
"Sure." the bowyer takes a down payment from Durgo for commissioning the strong-bows.
The bow will not be complete for another week but should be in time for your next expedition.
Moriartus is visibly impressed with Silvine's proposal. "You have again exceeded my expectation and most meager imagination. Please proceed with the commission and here is payment in full. I will stop by in a couple weeks time to view your progress."
Fydmar
Fydmar to Karl Barrelgut (I don't know why I was calling him Karg) Good, I'll await your assessment of coins needed to get the appropriate supplies and any other instruction. Do ye ken anyone I could hire to help build the construct? If he does, Fydmar will seek out said person. If not, he will go to the bulletin board (?) He will also look into renting an empty warehouse to house the construct while they work on it.
As to the ghost: Tis sad indeed. What is the survivor's name?
Bulletin Board is a settlement Helix: thread. Post any 'wanted', enquires or news there, -1gp.
The dwarven miner, aged by his encounter with some creepy tunnel fiends, (ghosts, spectres, wraiths?) is named Bogart
An apprentice Smith to help with the mechanics and refurb of the Construct will be found via a randomised roll each week until located. You may have more opportunity to find one sooner in Ironguard but that is a journey away.
Locating a suitable barn is another random roll that will get responded to eventually. Put a Bulletin up and I will adjudicate results.
Durgo stops by the Axe and Anvil and talks to Barrelgut, "My names Durgo and I was hoping you might be able fit me in a set of chainmail....I've got a couple weeks in town and after some adventuring I could use a good set. I'll be doing a spidersilk run as well if that won't delay the fitting?
Durgo heads over to the bowyer and picks up the completed bow, "The bows look nice. Great workmanship." -100 gp
Durgo adds, "Here I have my old bow I might get a credit for as well?"

Durgo revisits Valeron who was commissioned to fabricate a superior crafted longbow. Using specialised purchased cuts of wood, stringing the bow with super tensile, spider silk strengthened bowstring and augmenting the bow curvature with moulded leather brace height grip, iron banded tips and varnished in protective oils to keep rot away.
The bow will add further yardage to range, lessening penalties incurred for medium and long range and using his strength not just his dexterity, increase damage output for the arrows loosened.
Valeron takes you old bow if you want to trade. He cannot lower the overall price but can swap the normal longbow for quiver of silver barbed arrows.
silver tipped arrows are crafted to specifically injure lycanthropes, as the mineral is cursed to them. These arrows, due to the silvering being a softer metal than iron will still only inflict d6 damage, you need iron or flint headed arrows to make use of the strength bonus. Still normal arrows only kill normal creatures and the wilderness is full of unearthly denizens.
Valeron also oversees the production of the spider silk, there are weavers working at looms in his house. He tells you the northern forest is half a day's trek away and that the best silk is drawn from captured rather than slain spiders. If you want to trek for spider silk, he pays 10gp per spool collected, each spool reeking in two hundred yards of silken threads. "Better not go alone. Just in case you get bit." he advises.
After finishing with the elf, he goes to the dwarves. Discussing armour upgrades and kitting himself out with a made to measure hauberk and coif of chainmail. The armour, AC5, is at a premium of -90gp modified book price +20% inflation.
The chainmail will take a couple of weeks to craft, so will not be finished much before the summer solstice festival on June 22nd. Collect it then, maybe a day before.
Durgo says, "I'll look forward to trying on the chain armor once you're finished Barrelgut. I'd like to get a set of plate made as to replace the chain later on." -90 gp
Back at Valeron's,"A fair trade. I'll take the silver tipped arrows. Who know what we'll run into out there. I'll check and see if any of my friends will join me on the spider silk run or I'll hire a merc if necessary.

Durgo goes over to Valeron to get the necessary equipment for the spider silk run, “Hi… do you have any specialized equipment for the spider? Any advice on using the equipment and what to expect on the trip would be helpful.”

Durgo runs into Fydmar in town and says, “I hear you might have a mine to explore we can do while doing a spider run. What the scope on the mine?” I’ll be getting some mercenaries lined up for the expedition.
