Re: Chapter 5: Harvest of Death
So wait how have you not prayed for spells? What were you doing when it was not your watch Delsenora??

Re: Chapter 5: Harvest of Death
The division of the watch shifts if I understand it clearly is so that all of the spellcasting types get time enough to still recover spells while also pitching in to help with guard duty. Del would have had 2 watch shifts of time to pray for spells. If I am not mistaken.

Xlore
Nodding in agreement with Egon "if we decide to attack, we should attack when they least expect it. I will try to attack from behind where they least expect it." whispered Xlore

Weston drags his attention to the current situation. He reaches for his sling, only to realise that his pouch of stones is dangerously low on ammunition and his few spares are in his backpack. He grimaces.
He nods as the others talk about letting them pass.

Once daylight comes he will make sure everyone is ready and begin following the Ogres.

Re: Chapter 5: Harvest of Death
Ogres
In a rumbling voice as the duo of ogres approaches they act as if to turn away from the groups camp until one stops and sniffs the air. They are about 30 yards away now their stench even in the rain is stronger. The ogre that sniffed the air says to the other in the tongue of giants "Jeg lukter dverg og alver" which unfortunately nobody else can speak. But it becomes clear what it might mean as they turn towards your camp and start heading towards you there are some trees and brush between you and them but perhaps a spell might reach them or ranged weapons they are a bigger target than the normal mansized creature after all. Both brutes are about 9 foot tall by your best estimate from what you can see of them. The ogres do not even bother looking for a trail or path they make their own knocking down trees and ripping others out of their way. The other rumbles in his booming tone in common "Me like dwarf flesh!" and you now perhaps have an idea of what the other one said.
sorry for any confusion on regaining spells it is my "ruling" that based on the watch order given it was designed to give casters the opportunity to regain spells but still aid in the watch. You have foes closing in from 30 yards away (90 feet) if within range feel free to take actions.
Actions?

Re: Chapter 5: Harvest of Death
Based on the pics, am I correct that neither ogre has much in the way of metal on them?
Re: Chapter 5: Harvest of Death
Egon
Egon will change his attack to his folding short bow since they are out of range of melee. changes the roll to 21 (natural 20) to hit and 3 damage (1d8-1). If you would rather I re-roll just let me know.

Delsenora
Delsenora fires two shots from her bow at the lead ogre.
Attack with Short Bow[1d20+3]=9+3=12, Damage with Sheaf Arrows S/M [1d8]=2 L [1d8]=2
Attack with Short Bow[1d20+3]=7+3=10, Damage with Sheaf Arrows S/M [1d8]=2 L [1d8]=8
Rex, just a reminder the Aid gives you a Bless spell +1 to hit and in this case the 1 phantom hit point.

Just making this current action for Trist.Cwreando wrote: ↑Mon Jan 24, 2022 5:14 am Trist
Trist stirs the others quietly whispering to each, "To arms. 2 large beasties."
Trist draws her bow with a sheaf arrow notched ready to fire. She waits till her friends are ready to assist in an engagement. She fires at the closest once battle is decided.

Xlore
Cursing in Elvish under his breath Xlore quickly sheathes his long sword and draws out his long bow. The High Elf fires a couple of arrows at the nearest ogre.
Long bow to hit: [1d20]=9, damage with long bow: S/M[1d6]=3 L[1d6]=4
Long bow to hit: [1d20]=3, damage with long bow: S/M[1d6]=2 L[1d6]=1
OOC - I studied Danish for sometime so reading Norwegian I was able to figure out what the giants were saying. Now you'll have to have the giants say something like "Jeg vil drikker øl fra din kranium!"

Re: Chapter 5: Harvest of Death
The ogre's probably wouldn't mind that but i doubt they have ever had anything as good as ale.
Egon's first shot change from Battle axe to bow
Battle Axe [1d20+2]=20+2=22 to hit [1d8+4]=4+4=8 damage

Therick Ulrazor: Sylvan Elf - Magic-User - Evoker - AC 10 - Hit Points: 8 / 8
Therick having had time on the first watch can now cast a magic missile spell at the ogre closest to him.
