OOC Chatter II
Re: OOC Chatter II
Demon Hole thoughts.
Probably not the place to discuss so feel free Marullus to move post. I know some decisions were taken while I was away sick. But it does seem strange that after discovering the rooms are more than just goblin barracks that we leave and hand it over to Baxtaw and mage guild (does the sage Willem lead that?), to build a tower on it. I know Pendleton is a mage and invested here. If it fits in with Eruanna / templar plans it might make sense for Idriss too contribute what he can and study more here. I would think a complete map exploration and room clean out to be in order.

Re: OOC Chatter II
The goal was to close the gate and end this quest. You've explored about 10% of the maze. With the hell gate closed, there's no source of sniffers. Capping it with the wizard guild (paid for by the ArchDuke) ensures it is contained, then makes the guild the conduit for further adventures.
Starbeard had ideas for it, but now is on hiatus. I am happy to turn over the map to another interested DM, or we leave it "locked" until someone gets excited.

Rusty Tincanne asked me to let folks know he has a family emergency and will be offline for a brief hold until it resolves. He intends to return as soon as he can and remains excited to play/GM things. Please keep him and his family in your prayers and thoughts.

When the Dice Roller Laughs in your Face:
My cleric, Tollander, is being attacked. I rolled an attack with his sling. Got a 20!!!!!
Was about to post the link in the thread when I realized I had rolled the attack with my other cleric, Piers...
So a 20, wasted. For two characters.
Is this one of those times when a grown man is allowed to cry?

Dragon foot. Bamboo pole. Little mouse. Tiny boy.
Re: OOC Chatter II
I advocate that grown en should cry whenever they need to. Like when Artax sinks into the swamps of sadness. Or at any Disney movie.
The illness is sweeping through my house - this is the first I've been out of bed and able to string together coherent thoughts since Wednesday and now I'm handling laundry and nursing the sick wife and daughter.
Thanks for sticking with us while everyone had a busy spring. Hopefully Rusty is back with his family issues resolved soon, which will unstick a few things. Also, when Zhym or Alethan get things nailed down, hopefully they'll be opening up explorations in their sub-realms.
I suggest that the new PCs (and anyone else who is looking for and adventure!) team up and go into the woods (with Halfpint?) and have it run by Spearmint. He's ready to go with some fresh energy and ideas lately.

I'm going to be traveling this week and may not have a chance to post.

Re: OOC Chatter II
Charisma is a dump stat so often, that armor would probably be pretty powerful.
Here's something that would be fun: powerful magic plate mail that can only be worn by paladins but reverses their charisma (17=4, 18=3). Call it the "armor of humility" or something.

Re: OOC Chatter II
I am amused that we HAVE characters that speak to ducks already.
Re: OOC Chatter II
Yeah, but is that in their regular language, or their secret language?

Re: OOC Chatter II
Hi,
Any chance that I can get to roll up a new character for an upcomming expedition? I'm not having any luck with Anforthas. Both of the two expeditions he has participated in got blocked pretty early because the judge had real life issues that prevented him from finding the time for running the game.
Cheers
PS - Or just 'magically' move Anforthas to a new expedition. The one he's taking part in now has been quite for more than a month now.

Re: OOC Chatter II
I have no problem with either, at your option. I am just glad you haven't quit on us! Sorry it has been messy!
I will answer more on the Expedition Planning Thread.

Re: OOC Chatter II
Don't worry. I quit once but was convinced by Stirling to come back and this happened I know it's nobody's fault and it wouldn't make any difference leaving or staying, except the hope of being able to playMarullus wrote:I have no problem with either, at your option. Sorry all for the delays... June got away from me. Crazy busy around here.
Making use of Spearmint and Stirling for running expeditions is a good idea!

Re: OOC Chatter II
Do worn armour and "main" weapons count towards encumbrance?
