Le Noir Faineant's character
Here I am!
I'd like to play a human warrior from Pravis, if that is possible: The usual young lad... In some vaguely Greek armor.
Rolling the stats...

Re: Character Generation
Hehe, reading the posts BEFORE I posted would have helped. Let me know what I have to do, Frank, whenever it suits you!

Sorry for the delay in answering - it has been a long week. But now I'm in, rolling the stats within the next few minutes...

Re: Character Generation
Raaaah. Will have to wait until tonight. Somehow can't get the dice roller running. Have tried now a couple of times, will try from a different computer later.
Very, very much looking forward to this game, though - my absence is not an indicator of for my degree of interest. ...Reading up on some of the old RQ books, absolutely fantastic!

Re: Character Generation
I AM A STABLE GENIUS
Just took me three days to get behind it.
Are those stats alright? How do I proceed from here?

What about "Darius ven Sidus", as a name?
Re: Le Noir Faineant's character
Wow, STR 11, DEX 10, CON 4, SIZ 13, POW 14, INT 16, CHA 17...
He's glad of the hit points house rule... His STR may increase to 13, DEX to 15, CON to 6 (I may institute a modification of the house rule, if MAX STR or CON is below average for your race, you can still increase to average, so max CON of 11), POW to 21, CHA to 21.
You should choose a cult and then do previous experience on p. 106. Create a character in the dice roller so your rolls are logged. Name is fine. He might make a good Lhankor Mhy or Issaries with the INT and CHA and decent POW. They are less into fighting...

Struggling with the engine, but progressing:
I'd choose Issaries, if that's alright - he sounds a bit like a Roman god, moreso than Lhankor Mhy, perhaps. - Outside, my RQ is a bit rusty - how do I do the "prior experience" thing the right way?

Re: Le Noir Faineant's character
Also, maybe I'm having a case of teh dumbs, but the charsheet (FINALLY, HEHEHE) that I get on display is a D&D one, not a RQ one.
Re: Le Noir Faineant's character
Yea, the character sheet in the dice roller is useless...Le Noir Faineant wrote:Also, maybe I'm having a case of teh dumbs, but the charsheet (FINALLY, HEHEHE) that I get on display is a D&D one, not a RQ one.
Re: Le Noir Faineant's character
Issaries is fine and good. You need to roll Background on p.15 and then go to Previous Experience on p.106, but... I need to set up an Issaries apprenticeship previous experience... Let's find out what your background is first, and I'll try and work out trade apprenticeship tomorrow.Le Noir Faineant wrote:Struggling with the engine, but progressing:

Re: Le Noir Faineant's character
Not sure how to proceed from here onwards. The finished sheet should look somewhat like this, right? Do we have a version of this that can be embedded in the phpbb-code?
A small caveat: I might not be available until Tuesday or Wednesday of next week, starting tomorrow.

Re: Le Noir Faineant's character
I've just been summarizing the characters in text form, a full page character sheet is great when playing face to face (and you may even want to keep your own), but is less useful for reference by the GM during online play. Then it's much easier to just keep the relevant information.Le Noir Faineant wrote: Not sure how to proceed from here onwards. The finished sheet should look somewhat like this, right? I should take some time and work up a standard format we can use...

Sure, please do: I have your pdf on my phone, but the reality is, this week I probably wouldn't get it done otherwise.

Re: Le Noir Faineant's character
Thank you, Frank! - And no worries: It's been an exceptionally busy December, so far, but things will perhaps be more quiet in the new year.- Also, in-game posts are way quicker and way less complicated than the character generation, so I don't doubt we will pick up steam as soon as that's done.
