Denslow shakes his leaves. Finally, we are returned. Let us find what our haul is worth.

Kurot assists in hauling the haul for value assessment.

When he has a moment, he also sees about refilling his emptied rifle cartridges.

It seems like returning might be a risk, says Denslow, if the smaller holes in the sheets mean what we think they might. I'm afraid Farmanus might never get his things...

Farmanus

The former soldier looks about with happiness evident in his eyes and in his stride. "It's good to be back in cilivisation," he says, beaming.

"I only have 5 pigmonn rifle shots. That won't be enough. Also, I like my spear, but I need something which can do more hurt."

OOC: It was not my intention to imply the Zone Barrier's closing was imminent. I wanted to add an environmental change to the landscape and stimulate conversation/curiosity.

Kurot

The tin man (duralloy composite, actually, but who's counting?) also looks to trade in his little hand axe on a larger battle axe he can still wield one-handed.

Belial

Belial wanders off from the group to do some people watching, as he usually does when they visit Hagaltown. At some point, someone from the group may spot him, talking animatedly with a tall human in a faded red jacket.

Farmanus

Farmanus is just smart enough to know that if he were any smarter, he would agree with MacMak.

You discuss visits to the various businesses of Hagalton, in preparation for the return trip into the Gam’A Zone. You still must determine how many days will be spent here, based on the funds available.

OOC: The key to the map of Hagalton has been updated, with links to pictures of the buildings and their various personalities. Feel free to ask questions and explore.

I will address each request in order.

Belial
Belial buys a dried Giant Insect leg from one of the food vendors, eating it on the move- like someone with a turkey leg at a Ren Fair. He knuckle-walks around town, BSing with everyone. He'll get himself a long, relaxing soak at the bathouses, too.

Farmanus

Farmanus, without a copper to his name, is eager to follow MacMak and get paid before exploring Hagalton.

Meanwhile, he keeps a sharp soldier's lookout for potential thieves, pickpockets, and crooks of all stripes.

Bruces' top priority is finding repair parts to fix his ruined vocal processor, and coordinates with his companions to trade whatever is necessary to affect those repairs. He will also try to find extra ammo for the pistol, enough for 2 full loads.

Hagalton, 319D/81

After resting for the night, you spend the day wandering, inquiring and interacting with Hagalton’s residents and merchants.

Kurot wants to reload his ammo and find a Battle Axe
  • Current Ammo (Kurot) – 37 arrows, 5 rifle rounds (11 shells casings)

Ammo reloads = 5sp each (Po Ellol)

Ammo = 1gp each (Po Ellol)
Ammo = 5gp each (Plod Jakee)

    WEAPONS

May sell his hand axes for 2gp ea.

...

Farmanus wants more rifle ammunition and a better melee weapon.
  • Current Ammo (Farmaunus) – 6 rifle rounds (2 shell casings)

Ammo reloads = 5sp each (Po Ellol)
Ammo = 1gp each (Po Ellol)
Ammo = 5gp each (Plod Jakee)

    WEAPONS

...

He (Bruce) will also try to find extra ammo for the pistol, enough for 2 full loads.
  • Current Ammo (Bruce) – 34 sling bullets, 8 pistol rounds (4 shell casings)

Ammo reloads = 5sp each (Po Ellol)
Ammo = 5gp each (Plod Jakee)
Ammo = 1gp each (Po Ellol)

...

  • Silvestri – 14 arrows, 10 razor head arrows, 10 rifle rounds (4 shell casings)

    MacMak – 16 crossbow bolts

Ammo reloads = 5sp each (Po Ellol)
Ammo = 5gp each (Plod Jakee)
Ammo = 1gp each (Po Ellol)

...

  • (1) Pair of goggles made from silver, un-coated lightweight metal and artificial skin (rubber)

Den-Lo Chis

The manimal fondles the goggle artifacts and scratches his foreherad with a claw. “These are useful for exploration and will be easy for me to move. I’ll give you 250gp for them.”

Image

...

  • (3) Artificial bone (plastic) containers holding 36 smooth, 1/2” long pebbles. The pebbles are made from a chalk-like substance and are in three colors: yellow, green and brown.

Dhe Tema

Quiet and reserved, Dhe Tema offers the most for the chalk pebbles. “These are ration pills, far less bulky then standard rations. I’ll give you 18gp for the lot.”

Image

...

Obo Grittz

  • (2) Metal trays with snap-on covers. These contain 12 strips of an unknown pliable material with a paper-like covering on one side and a metallic foil on the other. The strips are 2” wide, 10” long and 1/4” thick.

Obo takes a magnifying glass and examines one of the strips. Seemingly pleased, he flaps his tiny wings and hovers in the air. “I can offer 150gp for both trays and their contents.”

Image

...

Llirb

The gaunt, gray-skinned near-human silently takes the colored bone pieces and hands over the fair exchange in coin.

  • (32) Pieces of translucent colored bone (plastic).

    Each valued at (1) Silver Piece = 32 sp => 3gp, 2sp

Image

...

Zumaz

Always happy to do business with adventurers, the white-furred mutant, wearing an elaborate robe, smiles and nods approvingly as he hands over nearly 50 coin for the rough chunks of precious metal.

  • (47) Various chunks and blocks of precious metals (gold, silver, copper)

Each piece valued at (1) Coin (gp) = 47 gp

Bruces' top priority is finding repair parts to fix his ruined vocal processor, and coordinates with his companions to trade whatever is necessary to affect those repairs.

Yar Burnblack can repair Bruce’s vocal processor. He doesn’t have the parts, but you may help get the required parts and pay for them at the same time. He operates a trawler inside the Crack in the Earth just to the east of town. Inside the Crack, time “winds” blow and carry detritus from epochs of this and parallel worlds. Yar has the “Power of the Observer” and is able to focus on specific items and they have a high probability to appear. The items need to be fished out of the stream and secured aboard the trawler. There is a danger of creatures appearing in the buoyancy zone of the stream and, that’s where you come in, they will need to be fought off!

He tells you these things presuming you know what he is talking about and describing.

...

Denslow is the only character to roll for a Passive Mutation improvement.

Burned (7) physical attribute points, would like to rest for (7) days.
  • 7 days rations each, (4) days short. 5sp x 5 people x 4 days = 100sp => 10gp total

EDIT: It will cost 20sp =>2gp each (except Kurot) to stay in Hagalton for (7) days. You will not have any rations remaining.

...

Belail has been spending time talking to a tall human wearing a faded red jacket. He introduces him to Frank and the three talk for a couple of hours at Gunas Pell’s watering hole. The two then inform the rest of the group that they are leaving the party for a personal quest. You part ways and they leave the next morning.

OOC: Urson has left the game and Frank is an abandoned PC who I am retiring.

Hit Points [Luck Points]:

Denslow –42/42 [16/16]
Silvestri – 60/60 [14/14]
MacMak – 68/68 [7/17]
Bruce – 50/50 [3/12]
Kurot – 50/50 [5/15]
Farmanus – 87/87 [13/13]

Silvestri visits Po Ellol, looking to have his shell casings refilled and to buy an additional 10 shells.

He also wants to go and see what mounts are available.

Silvesri smooth talks Dhe and asks specifics about the ration pills.

Personality check [1d20] = 14

“Each color represents and ancient mealtime; yellow = breakfast, green = lunch, brown = supper,” Dhe reluctantly admits. “Each color’s slight variations indicate a different type of food appropriate for their time of day.”

OOC: Dhe, Obo, Den-Lo and Teeko all compete for the same market. Each merchant’s inventory ebbs and flows with supply, and some are more honest and willing to pay more for the same item.
