Chapter 10: A Time for Recovery & Revelations
Chapter 10: A Time for Recovery & Revelations
The Party now load up their things & tie Fr. Tenebaum & the Goblin each to a horse & secure an unconscious Maya onto another.
It is about 10:30pm April 12, when they head back to the Keep, again without incident.
The guards take the prisoners & shuffle them off to the Keep's dungeon, the party heads back to the Green Man Inn & put Maya up in a bed.
Sister Opal will go see if Brother Martin or Chaplain Abercrombie has any healing prepared that they could use on Maya.
Sister Opal tells the party that Fr. Tenebaum & his men lived in a house south west of St. Cuthbert's chapel.
Borum & whomever else wishes to go along, is lead to the Inner Gatehouse for a debriefing with Castellan Devereau.

Choe, Present
Choe will be at the meeting -- he fears that there is more corruption at the keep and he plans to raise the issue.
Choe insists on searching Father T's home after the meeting -- or perhaps before!!!!
What evidence could we bring to the meeting if we searched that home!!??

Maya & Victor:
While Maya is resting Victor heads with the few others towards the cleric's house, not being one for meetings and sitting still for long periods of time.

Ewat: "Mebbe Mort should come along, and be the first t'enter th' house? I can keep watch, with a whissle. Victor could, stay with me, and then follow Mort if'n he gives th' all-clear signal."

Lutha Cee & Wolfram:
Hearing that Tenebaum's house will be entered, Lutha shines up and wants to come along, hoping to discover some clue to Luna Cee's fate, maybe some of Luna's items were stashed away there by T etc
After one last worried look in Maya's direction, Wolfram comes along too

Dungeon Master:
Sister Opal mentions before heading to St. Cuthbert's chapel, that she knows a Halfling named Mouse, that works as the keep's Locksmith at the bank/pawn shop,
if the others can not get Fr. Tenebaum's front door open.
Lutha, Mort(?), Victor, Wexley & Wolfram head to Fr. Tenebaum's house.
Borum, Mr. Choe, & Idonea head for the debriefing in the Inner Gatehouse.
At first Ewat, was going to the debriefing but then decides on going to the house.
Sister Opal, will return to Maya's room at the Inn, whether or not, Brother Martin or Chaplain Abercrombie have Healing spells ready.
I don't know where Kormak or Mort wishes to go yet!

Player's Map of the Keep (Smaller Size) & showing Fr. Tenebaum's House [8/21/14]:
At Fr. Tenebaum's House:
Lutha, Mort(?), Victor, Wexley & Wolfram are now at the front door with 4 of the Keep's Guardsmen.
[Player Actions/Dialog?!]
=====================================
At the Inner Gate House:
Borum, Mr. Choe, & Idonea, & Kormak(?), head to the top floor of the right tower, the only others in the room which is a guardsmen quarters, are Castellan Devereau & 4 Guardsmen.
Castellan Devereau says to the Adventurers,
"So I now understand that Fr. Tenebaum, Radac & Karick were traitors? That they actually belong to this Hidden Temple & are not worshippers of Dagda?"

Re: Chapter 10: A Time for Recovery & Revelations
Idonea & Ewat:
Ewat at the Father's house: We have guard's with us? That means this is a sanctioned search of the premises? Ah, that's a different kettle of fish than the B&E job I was imagining. In which case, we should see if the Keep will pay for Mouse's services, assuming he's a higher level thief than Mort (also, more disposable, in case there are any really nasty traps).
Idonea to Castellan Devereau: "Aye. The Father tried to ensorcell us by way of a scroll, while his little minions used cruder instruments. Sister Opal and Borum both proved true, however, so not every cleric in the Keep is rotten. Still, I'd say the Temple deserves a little scrutiny.
"It appears that this Hidden Temple is organizing the creatures of the Caves, but I don't think they have total control. We saw an owlbear dragging a gnoll corpse into a cave. So the various factions still pursue their own agendas. We do not know if the merchants were taken by the hobs on their own initiative, or at the behest of the Hidden Temple. If the former, they may yet live. If the latter, them may already have been... well, processed is the word the Tenebaum used."

Dungeon Master:
Ok, Thieves, are you going to attempt to open Fr. Tenebaum's door yourself or hire out to Mouse the Halfling?
=================================
Castellan Devereau says to the group,
"So you wish me to question Brother Martin, Sister Opal, Borum, Mr. Choe & Chaplain Abercrombie, on their allegiances?"
"Have you encountered any Hobgoblins yet? Only Orcs & Goblins, so far yes?"
"You say they may have been processed, can you elaborate on that?"

Kormak:
Well since we are not leveled up at all or given xp yet Mouse would have to be a higher level than Mort or so I'd assume. So hire Mouse.

Idonea:
"We think we have found where the hobgoblins are. This was quite a feat, I might add.
"'Processed' is how Tenebaum referred to the the killing and undead enslavement of the previous rescue party."
Idonea shrugs, "You had foxes in your henhouse, but it's your henhouse. Questions the hens or don't.PyroArrow wrote: Castellan Devereau says to the group, "So you wish me to question Brother Martin, Sister Opal, Borum, Mr. Choe & Chaplain Abercrombie, on their allegiances?"
