A list of NPC's the party has encountered.
Thorncity
Princess Flora: The Supreme Commander of the Free People's Armies. A human woman in her forties, and a skilled warlord. She has brown hair and blue eyes. She wields a powerful bastard sword called Silversoul, said to have been forged for her by her Magic-User husband as a wedding gift (one of the Ten). Her tactical acumen, selfless courage, and dogged determination is widely credited for being the reason Thornwall has not fallen in the past twenty years. She insists it has more to do with the courageous men and women beneath her, and that all her courage and determination is but a pale shadow compared to theirs. Now that the war is over, she is leading the effort to regain the vast swaths of land conquered by the Kinslayer. Known as the Steel in Silk. She has two children: a daughter in her mid to late teens, and a preteen son (viewtopic.php?p=707907#p707907).
Wesleyan: A middle-aged member of the Thorny Rose order of Cavaliers who interrogated Corvin and Mordred about their escapades with the Battleaxe Gang.
High Priest Derek: High Priest of Thorncity. A blind, middle-aged, rather rotund man with a bandana around his eyes embroidered with a weeping eye. He is also the Patriarch of the Order of the Weeping Eye: an order of Clerics and priests dedicated to healing the injured rather than punishing the guilty.
Marsh: A cleric of the Order of the Weeping Eye, responsible for cleaning out the Tower that once been the home of the Battleaxe Gang.
Ol' Will/Lil' Will/Sabrina: The owner of the The Stolid Soldier, his son (12) and daughter (17). The Stolid Soldier is a tavern and impromptu headquarters of "adventurers" mostly those soldiers who had been discharged, but weren't quite sure what to do with their lives now that the Kinslayer is dead.
Sebastian: A friend of Mordred's. He'd dropped out of Magic-User training, but had apparently found his calling as a Druid. He seeks Mordred's aid with something.
Benjamin, Wendy, Benjy, Astrid, Nathan: The family of Benjamin and Wendy and their three children. They took Corvin in after his family was killed in a raid by a Dragon the Kinslayer had somehow managed to bend to His will. Corvin recently found their home burned down, save for a wall carved with the sigil of a battleaxe. No sign of the families' remains had been found. Corvin and Mordred manage to rescue Astrid. Wendy was killed during the abduction, Benjamin was sacrificed to the Kinslayer, and Nathan turned into a zombie (now put to rest). Benjy did not appear to be present during the abduction.
Korin - An old elf getting close to the end of his life (which might still be several human generations away). He is one of the most powerful elves in the Refuge, but has mostly abandoned active magical research. He spends his days now teaching magic-users and young elves how to harness the arcane arts, and trying to piece back together the elven history that was lost in the Kinslayer War.
Jordan: A middle-aged Magic-User who taught Mordred, and to whom Mordred brought information about the teleport circle found in the tunnels beyond the Wall.
Natasja: Owner of a tavern The Sly Girl. Seems to know almost as much about the going ons of the city as Ol' Will, though her connections seem to be more focused on the...rougher parts of town. Seems to be in a good-natured competition with Ol' Will, though the two have been known to send folk each other's way. An unofficial aunt of Ol' Will's children.
Lord August: A nobleman seeking adventurers to join an expedition across Barrier Bay to a large penninsula just north of the Refuge of Free Peoples that had once been dominated by wealthy human maritime city-states along the coast. Like the Refuge, it is connected to the main continent by a small isthmus, making it an ideal place to begin regaining a foothold from the Kinslayer's monsters.
Great Druid Sebastian: A powerful, old and ancient Druid, who'd given his life (along with the lives of many of his most powerful students) in a Druidic ritual to raise the Thornwall about 25 years ago. Somehow, the Kinslayer learned of his plan, and launched a vicious assault to stop it. Including somehow sneaking a battalion of orcs and harpies behind the lines of the Free Peoples to flank the Druid. The battle would have ended disastrously, were it not for Princess Flora's grandfather, then a minor noble. He had sacrificed his life and the life of his soldiers to hold the monsters at bay long enough for Sebastian to complete the ritual. It was in "reward" for this sacrifice that the Council of Free Peoples granted the lands of the Thornwall to Flora's family, catapulting them from a minor noble family to one of the most powerful and richest families in the Refuge in one fell swoop. Sebastian has become a very popular name amongst the families who follow the Druidic ways in honor of the Great Druid.
Great Druid Carlos "Rootbeard' - The Great Druid of the Refuge. He lives in a large Druid grove to the south of Thorncity, along the edge of the Thornwall along with various other Druids, Rangers, and elves. The Grove is widely considered to be the largest gathering of Druids in the Refgue, all tasked with maintaining the Thornwall.
Howard and his family: A peasant family living in the residential section in the central western part of the city. A grandpa (Howard), a grandma, and seven children. They had five sons, three of whom were married, but all but the middle one died in a mix of battle and childbirth, leaving behind seven children of their own between them. The middle son is serving on the Thornwall along the southern coast of the Isthmus. The eldest grandchild is a girl (Elise) of 13, the next eldest a boy of 11 (Charles), both with red hair. The grandpa was badly injured, but stable in a fight with three members of the Battleaxe Gang.
Geraint: A thug who the group convinced to help them against the Battleaxe Gang. Dreamed of being a soldier like his grandfather, but panicked and deserted during/after the Battle of the Misty Morning, when an army of undead assaulted Thorncity on an especially foggy day. Helped Corvin and Mordred break up the Battleaxe Gang, but has since fled along with one of the other survivors of the gang.
Goldstreak: An old and powerful Lupine, and great hero from the War. His courage and exploits were instrumental in convincing the wary people of the Refuge that the Lupine are courageous and noble in spirit, despite their origin as experiments of the Enemy. He leads the largest Lupine pack in the Refuge. They wander about the Refuge, hunting any roaming bands of monsters who make it past the Thornwall, providing additional labor during harvest and planting seasons, and the like. They return to the Druid Grove outside of Thorncity every year for the Winter and Summer Solstice festivals.
Elven trinket seller: An elven woman who sells...less than legal minor magical trinkets for the right price. Her shop is tucked away in a small corner of the docks in Thorncity.
Mortamur: A dwarven captain who often takes scouting commissions from the Princess.
