Andronichishche
Andronichishche raises an eyebrow at the mention of the Greyhawk wizard's guild and their interest in the island. "Indeed? Interesting ..." He suddenly seems lost in thought as his eyes unfocus for a few moments. Andron continues with a start. "Oh, sorry. You also mentioned a magical item to help the town? Unfortunately, I've just arrived back in town and have a number of tasks to complete. I expect to be here for at least a week."
Andron studies the elf, nodding his head and smiling warmly. "It is an honorable goal and I wish you luck in your endeavor. The town certainly can use all the help offered. As for a Mage's guild, I believe a couple mage's have been planning one, but they're currently out in the jungle. I haven't had the opportunity to meet them, myself."
He turns to leave in the direction of the Hi-Lo and rented huts, but pauses to look back at the group. "My apologies, I have some things to attend to. The feast does smell rather delicious, though ..."

Re: TREEHOUSE (tavern)
Initially, the crowd doesn't seem to care who is supplying the refreshments for this party, but when some of them see that Magg is their host, they appear somewhat apprehensive to partake. No stranger to negative reactions to his less than favorable looks, the thick thug tries not to let it bother him too much.Jernau35 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 30, 2020 10:49 pm Maag

After the first keg of Randall's hearty grog is tapped and drained, the crowd no longer cares who is supplying the food and drink, and all of those gathered take part excessively. The aging street strumpet Felicity struts around the grounds as proud as a peacock, happily pointing out to anyone who will listen that it is her own special friend Maag who is picking up the tab.
The half-orc gets plenty of thanks and even a few pats on his massive back for hosting the party, and mostly from complete strangers. He hears the same question asked among the crowd over and over. "Why would someone like that do something like this?"

Approaches Maag.
I hear you are the one to thank for this shindig. I appreciate the free meal. Thank You. I suppose you have been here for a long time. Do you happen to know any specific place you post recruitment posters for missions into the jungle? I have recently found information leading to a magical item that would greatly help the people of this community. I just need to form a party to go and retrieve it.

Maag climbs up to the deck of the Treehouse to address the crowd.
“On dis large desert island, wiv der cool breeze in our ‘air. An der warm smell of dis meat stew risin’ up through der air…I thought I wud say a few words.”
“Der other day me an’ der lads were comin’ back from dat island over der. A couple of times we ‘ad brought back big bags of fruit for everybody. But dis time we ‘ad no fruit. Just treasure. I woz ‘appy to be off dat island. I wanted to ‘ave a good time. But der woz nobody to party wiv. Not even wiv a bag of fruit”.
“So I decided to ‘ave a big party. Coz I woz sick of dat island. An’ der only people to party wiv woz der people I’d bin on der island wiv! I woz sick of der sight of dem by den. An’ ‘ow can yer ‘ave a party wiv ‘ungry people all around?”
“So ‘ave a good time at Maag’s island party everybody. Yer good ol’ mate Maag! Yeah!"
He raises his bottle of rum and takes a big swig out of it.

Once Manalishi is back in statuette form she will try reactivating him 12 hours later (to her best estimate anyways). If that doesn't work she will try 24 hours later. She is staying at the stronghold to rest up and watch over it wile the others party.

I will answer that question. Let's just say that you can't judge a book by it's cover. She smiles and then adds: That is also true with the tall one over there with the intimidating axe (referring to Gramble). She gives both of her friends warm smiles. Maag, can the tell the difference between the normal beaver meat and the tainted meat? She laughs.

3 full days pass before Manalishi can be summoned forth again. And, like before, he only stays around for a total of 6 hours before resuming his figurine form.

Most of the crowd spends this entire speech trying to figure out what he is actually saying, but they all cheer at the conclusion, regardless if they understood or not.Jernau35 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 04, 2021 6:00 pm Maag

Before long, the name of Maag is repeated often throughout the town, and several of the townies join in on the thief's exuberant abuse of the devils drink.
Gramble keeps any party poopers in line, working as the unofficial bouncer for the surprise event.
Once the second keg of grog is drained, Randall looks for an indication as to how many more he should set out for the people.
Felicity helps keep the spirits up, literally and figuratively. The old woman spends most of her time at Maag's side, never one to miss an opportunity to schmooze.......or to drink a lot.
"So watz dis really all about, mate? Me thinks ye got a little more up that sleeve a yers than just a free party fer we common types."

A bedraggled young elf makes her way back into the tree house with her last reserves of will. Making her way to an empty table she flops down and begins to catch her breath waiting for someone to offer to serve her. Watching the entrance for her companions. Feeling the Gnome will be along when he is along. Not sure about Darklin as he seemed out of touch.

Hits the water barrels for a long drink of water and then heads to his tent and drops off his gear. Heads down to the waters edge and cleans all the sand from his wounds and bandages everything back up clean. Feeling refreshed but still weak he heads to the Tavern for a drink and some food. Almost not able to climb the rope he makes it knowing it will be a while before he will be able to go back down.
He sees Feanol and moves to her table.
Randall two drinks here.
Well it looks like we made it out alive. Hopefully the others make it back. After the giant ants hit us I didn't see any of them after that. We got lucky with the Cat and Baboon out there. Not to mention the natives. Once we are healed up maybe we should head back out and see if we can find them.

Randall brings 2 mugs of grog and 2 bowls of jungle stew to the beleaguered duo, setting them down in front of each of them.

Smiling up at Randall as he sets down the food and grog, "Thanks, no at least one more of us is still alive, he should be here soon. The other three got separated from us, and we haven't seen them since early this morning. Hopefully they're just being slowed by all the gold they're bringing back." she adds with a wink.
When he leaves "Yeah, I think they took off into the forest. I hope they were able to outrun the ants, and the delay is just them having to hack a trail, and walk the river. We got a big help with the raft. I feel bad for not waiting, but I understand waiting could have been just waiting for something to find and kill us, and I don't know what help we might have been in a fight. Heck, they probably got along better without us there to hinder them." Eating some of the soup and happy to feel warm fresh food going down again.
" How are you doing, do you need any help with healing? Not that I can heal you, but if there's someone that can I could help pay for it if needed."

The Knife
The Knife arrives as Feanol and Darklin begin to tuck into their meal.
"So what's that you're saying then? Going back to look for the others? Hmmm...That's a tough choice isn't it?"
"I mean, if we were lost out there, I'd want someone to come looking for us. But, on the other hand, it's a big risk, especially for only three of us. Nobody I've heard of goes out in groups of three.
"That baboon was pretty handy with those coconuts. Just two of those creatures would be a real problem for us."
"If just one of us got badly injured, we'd have to turn around so the other two could drag them back here. If two of us got injured, they'd die out there, without a healer in the group.

Absorbing the barrage of comments and questions from the Knife, "Randall, can we have the same for our third companion?" she then looks up Then she turns back to the Knife. "You're right we three can't do this, and yes they were very handy with those coconuts. I say we get a good nights sleep, and then we can look into recruiting others." Turning to Darklin "I'd like to talk to you about what we learned out there, as that makes more sense as a goal and reason to leave Beachtown." Turning back to the Knife "If we don't see them back here by tomorrow afternoon, then I'd say we need to find others to go back with us to find them. Regardless we need to find more to join us in the larger work. As for town building I'm not sure we could do more than suggest moving over to the coast where the river is so we'd at least be closer to a supply of fresh water."
