Bianca:

Seeing the rest of the group head toward the river: Nicolas, looks like they found something interesting. Let's catch up with them.

Bianca will head toward Sei.

Nic

Seeing the rest of the group start towards the ferryman's shack, Nic sighs and lets his shoulder drop a bit. Well, it might be dryer in there than out here, he mutters to himself. Nocking another arrow, he trails behind the group, scanning the surrounding area to see or hear anything unusual. [Acute Hearing and NightVision]

Left holding the deer carcas, Brynmor leaves it in the grass near the gate and follows the others down to the ferryman's hut.

Steeping into the ferryman's hut Hagrim immediately sees that the place has been trashed, with all the furniture overturned and thrown about you would be tempted to blame the weather. That is until until the smell of fresh blood catches your attention and a cursory glance down reveals a trail leading from the center of the small shack to the doorway, a small sack is also left lying by your feet.

Hargrim

Hargrim will pick up the sack and take a look inside. Then takes a quick look around and then follows the blood trail in the direction out of the shack in which ever direction it goes be it ferry, barn or house.

Tells the others.

There has been a fight here and someone was bloodied. See the blood trail here. Be on your guard. The beast we killed earlier may have been here first.

OOC- Is the blood only in the shack or does it continue out of the shack like it could have been dried before the rains started?
If you want an Intell, I'll include it.

[1d100] = 79 Intell

Brynmor pulls his blade from its sheath and looks around to follow the trail and see if there is any other evidence of the attackers.

Hagrim finds what must've been the Ferryman's collection purse, inside is 60 brass pennies and 13 silver shillings. The search of the shack reveals little else of value, some broken furniture, dirty clothes, a damp logbook that seems to have been used to record crossings and dates for visitors (anyone with read/write will be able to see that no crossings have been recorded for the past 2 weeks), and finally a twin tailed comet charm of Sigmar hanging on the wall. As far as Hagrim can tell the blood trail just disappears after reaching the doorway's threshold, lost to the rain and mud.

(Anyone else that would like to see if they can discern anymore go ahead and make an Intelligence check, anyone with a skill they think will help in finding a trail add 10% for each seperate skill.

ybn1197 go ahead and have Brynmor make a Perception test as well.)

Eva looks at the trail of blood but can't discern anything more than Hargrim.

INT (29): [1d100] = 59

OOC: Pretty sure Acute Hearing wouldn't apply here (but it'd be a fail even if it did)

Nic

"There's blood? Let me see if there is some other sign out here in this nasty weather." Nic will range around away from the shack to see if there are any other signs of what may have happened here.

Int + Follow trail (33+10=43): Int test (43) - [1d100] = 70

Int check: [1d100] = 89

OCC: Added to sheet:
10 Brass Pennies
2 Silver Shillings

A good hard look by everyone seems to turn up very little in regards to a finding the trail you all can only come up with educated guesses at best as to who or what had caused the blood trail and where it ended up going on this dark and stormy night. Brynmor similarly has not found any evidence of attackers skulking in the night, but he does begin to hear the faint sound of wood slamming repeatedly in the wind.

Bianca:

I think its best if we find shelter, preferably defensible. The Inn looks like our best choice in the short term, lets head over there.

Hargrim

Hargrim removes the charm of Sigmar from the wall.

Anyone worship Old Heldenhammer? If so you might want this. I am pretty sure the ferryman won't need it anymore.

Keeps walking around looking at the scene.

Alright something is going on here. The log book shows there hasn't been any ferries in a couple weeks. And with those beastmen we fought earlier. We need to keep our guards up. Let's head to the main house but everyone keep your eyes open I don't trust anything here. There may not be anyone alive in the house but we need to use it for some rest and a fire for some food. Keep your guards up and be ready could be more beastmen or mutants in the house.

Heads to the front door of the main house. And beats on the door with the edge of his shield.

Is it rhythmic or does it sound more natural? Does it sound like someone is signalling someone else by hitting wood together or is it more natural like the storm gathering in intensity?

Hargrim

If we all hear it.

I am thinking that banging is not normal. Some one has entered the house through an alternate route and left the door open behind them. I am not sure we will find anyone alive here folks. In my reasoning a normal person would shut the door back to keep the rain from getting in. That is where I am coming from. Be ready for anything.

Hikes his shield up and tries to follow to the sound of the noise
