And Agrom gets a Resources bump to 1 for a successful purchase of goods or services!

Agrom will head back home and try to get enough rest to get this snake venom out of his system.

Will 3 vs Ob3 to recover from sickness. Not even close.

Will test vs Ob 3 [1d6] = 2, [1d6] = 3, [1d6] = 5

Agrom will sweat it out and take the penalty.

I won't be too mean: go ahead and elect for a Will-based skill to reduce.

Well, if you're letting me choose, I'll take -1 to Commander.

Done. Agrom has lost a little bit of his self-confidence and swagger as a result of his near-death experiences.

Raizenbrayne makes his way to the market and, after some invigorating haggling, manages to procure a few goods on the baron's offer. (I'm going to take preserved rations, and either a spell component (for Supernal Vision), or a lantern if it's necessary for us to get a reliable light source back—what's everyone else taking?)

I don't think I'm going to attempt any more personal business to roll off conditions. I need that cash to make the lifestyle rolls—but I will go ahead and suck up the injury for -1D, and hope Lavender can heal Raizenbrayne's illness next phase. So I guess that Raizenbrayne done for town stuff.

So if Harlan wants to go to a healer, that is an Ob2 Resources test. Does that ALSO add to his lifestyle cost at the end of the phase? Or does the Resources test take care of that?

It also adds to his lifestyle cost for being personal business. Basically because you require additional lodging and the like to accommodate the extra stuff you're doing.

Makes sense. Just wanted to make sure I was doing my math right. Well...It looks like Ag will be needing his coin, and I'm a bit loathe to sell the blade...What do I think I could get for it on the market?

Probably 4D of coin easily. You could get more but it would be a Circles Ob3 Test and a failure would bring your old friend with the finger-breakers around sniffing.

If Agrom hears of your plan to sell the blade, he'll offer to give you the money instead... except he only has 1d of gold as a down payment. He had to spend the other 2d he had on a healer. He'll pledge to get you the other 3d of gold later.

He will gently remind you of how he converted his old leather armor for the halfling's use as well. Not that he wants payment for it, but hoping for a return gesture of goodwill.

Agrom believes the sword to be a relic of the Pilgrim and he is loathe to let it go to a stranger.

Also, I'm wondering if my personal business with the healer actually should have counted to get rid of Sick out of order—if it did, then I should be at lifestyle 2, not 1.

Harlan will somewhat reluctantly hand the sword over to Ag, dramatically rolling his eyes and sighing. Never figured you for a sentimentalist Ag, but if it means that much to you to keep it around, I suppose I can tighten the old belt strap and do with out for a while.

If you've got the 1D to spare then I'm happy to take it, but if you really need it for something, Harlan's happy to let you have it on credit. He's never been that good with money. ;)

Have we sold the warhammer yet? If not, Agrom will tag along and see what he can get for his longsword.

Agrom will hand over the 1d in gold he had stashed at his parents' house.

Thanks, Harlan. You won't regret it. The Pilgrim remembers sacrifices like this.

Warhammer has not been sold yet. And the sword is worth little enough that you can't get any cash dice from selling it.

Agrom will leave his longsword at home and carry The Unbroken Blade.

For his free stuff from the Baron, Agrom will take 50' of rope and four torches (again, assuming I still have Preserved Rations x2). He'll fill up his waterskin as well.

He's ready to leave town, or at least initiate discussions on our next target.

OK, I'll be sure to complete my review of things this afternoon so you have clean sheets to work from. And if you all want to quote my character sheets to have your own self-editable ones that is also OK for the next adventure.

I wanted to start with them in my hands just for the sake of being able to manage stuff, but I trust you all well enough to track things conscientiously.
