Re: Chapter 6: Into the Valley of the Caves of Chaos
Dungeon Master:
Mr. Choe comes forward again, this time he lights a torch & this is what is seen.
Note: you see the first 15 ft from Mr. Choe, Clearly, the remaining 15 ft is in shadowy outlines.
Players Map Cave B 6/25/2014: 7:14pm:
As soon as Mr. Choe Lit the Torch; Spears come flying out of the darkness from the West & East Corridors:
Mort is hit for: [1d20] = 16 for [1d6] = 5 of damage
Give Mort 5 HP not 3!
Ewat has a spear fly past him: [1d20] = 9
Mr. Choe is in the clear at first but when Mort goes down is now vulnerable!
You heard grunts from the spears being thrown but then it gets quiet again as the cave occupants await.
Wexley stops mid-stride from going toward the back as he heard Mort Scream when he got hit.

Re: Chapter 6: Into the Valley of the Caves of Chaos
Hearing the grunt of pain and the clatter of spears thrown and missing their mark, but striking the rock, Wexley pauses a moment and whips the caltrop laden gourd against the ceiling of the left hand passageway, hopefully to slow any attack against Ewat.
Once this is done, he skirts back along the left side of the cave and stops to prepare his color spray spell by fishing out the bit of colored sand on wax

Kormak tries to dash to Mort's aid to try and pull him back out of harms way.

Mr. Choe
Choe is not surprised. He chucks his torch down the hall about 30 feet. He hopes to illuminate a target and draws his bow.
Choe swishilly says: Party time Mr. man!!

Dungeon Master:
I will have it that Mr. Choe tossed the Torch down the West Corridor, since Kormak is trying to drag Mort to safety.

Borum issues the wiser order "Retreat!" and goes to try and help with Mort.

Re: Chapter 6: Into the Valley of the Caves of Chaos
Dungeon Master:
When Mr. Choe tosses his torch down the west corridor, he illuminates what appear to be 3 Orcs in Leather Armor with Shields & brandishing Spears.
One Orc from the West corridor, throws a spear at Mr. Choe, soon after the torch lands.
The spear misses Mr. Choe: [1d20] = 7
A Spear is tossed at Kormak from the East Corridor and it misses him: [1d20] = 8
After that there is no more action from the Orcs for the time being, as Kormak gets Mort into the entry corridor.

Borum casting Cure Light Wounds[1d8] = 1 on Mort really die roller?
Kormak waits till Borum is done trying to heal Mort and will then help to retreat carrying Mort if need be.

Lutha is very much in spell ready mode
Re: Chapter 6: Into the Valley of the Caves of Chaos
Wolfram tilts his head and perks up his quivering youthful nostrils to try to detect the direction of the cave's air flow/draught, if any. NWP/skill/general aptitude roll: [1d20] = 10
Re: Chapter 6: Into the Valley of the Caves of Chaos
Ewat fires into the darkness, back along the path of the spears.
The he dashes back out of the corridor.
On the player map, Idonea has moved to the very back of the party in order to keep an eye on everyone.

Re: Chapter 6: Into the Valley of the Caves of Chaos
Maya drops down to one knee, drawing her composite bow and firing at one of the orcs, Composite Bow: [1d20] = 1 Damage: S/M[1d6+3] = 2+3 = 5, L[1d6+3] = 2+3 = 5
Due to the lighting conditions and the panic of everyone that shot goes horribly awry, [1d100] = 73
Victor will stay with the group, he has his short sword drawn, the words engraved on it glowing slightly.

Re: Chapter 6: Into the Valley of the Caves of Chaos
Dangit, I forgot to link to my roll to hit, earlier! If it's too late, please ignore, but otherwise, here it is:
Bow: [1d20+2] = 10+2 = 12 Damage: [1d6x2] = 6x2 = 12
=========================
Dungeon Master Response:
It's still a miss anyways, you need to hit AC7 a 13 on the 'To Hit' roll for a Fighter.

Re: Chapter 6: Into the Valley of the Caves of Chaos
If there are no player characters in the way
Wexley stays close to the left hand wall, inching his way back to the cave mouth and the main party, his color spray spell is ready and he waits only for a clear shot at the Orcs to cast it loose. Once done, he will hastily retreat further back into the safety of the group, drawing his bow and aiding in fire support
And remember the following algorhythm

Poking out from around the corner, Ewat fires at one of the Orcs down the eastern corridor.
Bow: [1d20+2] = 15+2 = 17 Damage: [1d6x2] = 4x2 = 8

Mr. Choe
The gay cross dresser takes the point and confronts the Orcs. He is as much a lover of combat as he is a fag.
He smiles a broad smile, swings his head to twirl his long hair over the appropriate shoulder, and fires into the Orcs.
He says, I'm Mr. Choe, tis' a pleasure to meet your bitch asses:
[1d20] = 12
[1d20] = 9
Mr. Choe will THEN move toward the rear -- he hopes to bring the hand to hand combat to the fighting types in his party.
He hopes he has pissed the Orcs off sufficiently. He has a question for Father T..
