Hanna is persuaded, especially by the argument that others will be more vulnerable if she is not up to snuff in a fight.
Harold's healing potion: consumed.
OOC: should I roll for that, wp, or do you? If I do, let me know what dice.

Viktor will keep an eye peeled for any other nocturnal slinkers or creatures that might be about while Hanna is drinking the potion. He'll ask Johansen to help him keep watch.
"I wonder if these three slinkers are alone or if they're part of a larger group. Whadaya think we should do?"

chug-a-lugging the potion
healing potion (1d8=4)
that leaves Hanna's current HP at 7.

On the bodies you find a combines 5 silver.
Johansen agrees to keep watch with you.
The rest of the night is uneventful and the next morning you herad into the wood. (you have to leave the wagon behind it will notmake it. horses can work their way through slowly.)
what are you leaving and what are you broinging along (I need to calculate travel speed)

Vik will recommend that we do our best to hide the wagon at the edge of the treeline and camouflage it. He is concerned about leaving the draft horses behind and would like to take them with us, along with the goats & sheep. Vik will top off his waterskin and trail rations before they head out.
"I say we take the draft horses with us. If they are accosted or get away, we're screwed and have no way to get Korec's wagon back. Whadaya all think?"
OOC: I believe, other than the goats and sheep, all we had was some additional rations and water. Not 100% sure though if others have additional supplies/logistics

OOC: Why did we bring the wagon in the first place again? HOW BIG IS THIS DISPLACER BEAST HAIR, ANYWAY???
Or was it just to carry the livestock?

Iirc, I thought we needed the wagon to make better time with our cargo of goats and (a?) sheep. I believe it was like 2 days by horse/wagon versus a long 3 or even 4 days by walking it. I knew we were impatient to leave and wanted to get back quickly, so Minter would have the final component he'd need to cast that spell.
I know I was concerned about the forced, sustained movement of the goats & sheep trying to keep pace with the horses, as well as our also being able to safely carry any wounded back if we had to get that displacer beast hair the hard way. Admittedly, I'm not 100% if I elaborated these in a post or if there was another more pertinent reason!

Hauling the livestock is going to slow you down some, you will need to spend the night inthe wood and reach your destination the next day.

I guess we'd rather do that and have some sacrificial animals handy than sacrifice one of us!
Or is there any way to camp out at the edge of the woods with the wagon and the livestock and then head into the woods first thing in the morning and make it to the location in one day?

I guess we're seguing into OOC, but I'm in favor of Alethan's strategy if logistics allow.
Hanna carries pack with essentials, battle axe on back, handaxes (for throwing) at her belt, and will wrangle critters, since it was her idea to begin with. She also asks for a volunteer to help so she can disengage with them if/as necessary to deal with any trouble along the way. (Geez, maybe we should have hired a village boy to be goatherd for us. Hindsight...)

"Hanna, I'll help you by leading the livestock to our destination. I'd rather have you ready with your big axe than tending goats and sheep..."

You are on the wood edge now, taking the livce stock is going to slow you down enough that you will have to spend a night in the wood before you reach your destination.

Viktor will volunteer to lead the draft horses, so Hanna and Tub are free to move about and keep an eye on things as we travel.
Johansen will either be riding or leading his horse. Regardless of whether he's riding it or walking it, let's put him out front. After all, he's leading us to the spot, right?

You travel 1/2 the day and you stop for lunch. As you all sit eating rations Johnasen looks around the area and informs you he has found some goblin tracks.

Cilian looks around nervously and asks, "How old are they and how recent did they pass?"

Viktor also snaps to at the news, grabs up his spear and begins looking around. "Those pesky little sneakers! I wonder if they have a hideout somewhere nearby..."
