Oh, here's an interesting exchange that really took place on the local TV news a few days ago (not making this up)...

Weekend Anchor: "Really? What a coincidence! I bet that doesn't happen very often."
 
...and I don't think any of it was sarcasm.

A delver's prime task in venturing through the City's tunnels is to leave them with that "pine fresh" aroma...

It's that particular sap that gives the clean smell. ;)

Just to let everyone know, we're having record snow fall on us today. I measured the depth, so far, as about 6 inches and it's supposed to continue for another 5 or 6 hours. I've lived in the Florida Panhandle for 70+ years and this is as much snow just today as we've gotten over that entire 70 year period! I see where they've given this a name..Winter Storm Enzo.

We had an inch of snow at my house east of Houston, with more accumulation further north. Both airports and all freeways were closed today, as the Houston area has no snow removal equipment. Tomorrow will be a mess as the snow freezes tonight and begins thawing in the morning. We should be clear of it by Thursday morning - I hope.
