Re: OOC I
Klilxuac does have a fondness for fire, but he has plenty of ways to produce it already. I would suggest a couple of other characters each take one of the alchemist's fires. Anyone want them?
On November 2nd I will be participating in another 24 hour game of Dungeons & Dragons as part of Extra Life. This organization uses gaming to help raise money to donate to children's hospitals. I'm raising money for Marshfield Children's Hospital in Marshfield, WI, and all money I raise will go to that hospital. All donations are tax-deductible. Please take a moment to check out my donation page below. Thank you.

Sky can take one. She most likely won't catch anyone on fire.

Seems about right.Monsieur Rose wrote:[1d20+3] = 1+3 = 4
HA! I knew it.

I have my game tonight, so unless someone else searches (successfully) or says they're opening the door, we probably won't move again until tomorrow.

Not sure of the rules. Can Sky continue searching for more rounds, or is it just one and done?

"Sometimes a character fails an ability check and wants to try again. In some cases, a character is free to do so; the only real cost is the time it takes."
Here is the full rule: Multiple Ability Checks.

FYI...
From a DM perspective, I just finished all the prep work in my private DM forum for the rest of this module.

Re: OOC I
I prefer to leave saving throws (especially meaningful ones) to the actual player, so I'll give Shaede a bit more time to respond.
I have plans tonight (meet at my kids school), so maybe I'll just plan to wait until tomorrow to move this game next.

Re: OOC I
You're absolutely right, Scott and thanks for telling me. Honestly, that was new to me. Dave, can we just assume that 6 sec later, Hargrem cast the bonus action, too?Scott308 wrote: Shaede, you can't cast both of those spells in the same round. When you cast a spell as a bonus action, if you want to cast another it must be a cantrip with a casting time of 1 action.
And Kelben was healed with the Cure Wounds, so he shouldn't need a death save?

Re: OOC I
Yes that was pointed out to me in private by Dave so I guess I have to make an attack/action now.

I think I made this exact same mistake in my 'Rats of Waterdeep' game.Scott308 wrote: Shaede, you can't cast both of those spells in the same round. When you cast a spell as a bonus action, if you want to cast another it must be a cantrip with a casting time of 1 action.
I did, here:
dmw71 wrote:Maladie rushes over the Garl, who had been left abandoned on the battlefield by his attacker, and kneels at the half orc's side. A faint, simmering blue glow briefly flashes over the ranger, who suddenly springs to life (+7). Suddenly, Asmundr feels overcome with a healing energy and his eyes dart open as he, too, is at least partially restored (+5).
...
Rolls
It, obviously, tripped me up, too. It just goes to show, even if I know something, I might still mess things up from time-to-time.Shaede wrote:Honestly, that was new to me. Dave, can we just assume that 6 sec later, Hargrem cast the bonus action, too?

I haven't even really looked into everyone's actions yet, but I will update this game before leaving work today. Since the group isn't in an active encounter, I don't see any reason why Hargrem couldn't get both spells off; we'll just make them go one after the other.
I'll figure it all out later, once I have a chance to start my next update.

Just a general note, in case it hasn't been decided, please make sure that it's detailed what the group plans to do next.GreyWolfVT wrote:...I have to make an attack/action now.

Re: OOC I
Ok was going to say the healing just happened to Kelben after the update so technically i can't act until the next update right?

Sky is just doing a little recon. She should be back soon. Or you'll hear her yell, whichever.

Feel free to share what you'd like with the rest of the group. Then, to the group, what's your next plan?

Re: OOC I
So we're not going to use a short rest to recuperate some hit points? Right before we enter a large woody area in our search for an evil tree?

Re: OOC I
Feel free to spend some time here discussing your options and next course of action.
You suspect you're nearing the end, and are potentially looking to face strong opposition.

Re: OOC I
I could go for the short rest as well I guess even if my injuries are all healed.
