Nallissa smiles until Liam has left.

Sir William Narramore

The somewhat-recovered knight ducks into the Hi-Lo and sends Nallissa a slight bow and a smile. "My lady. I hope I find you well."

He gestures to his uncapped noggin. "I fear the goop we fetched ate a hole in my headgear. Would you possibly have anything that would fit this big melon of mine? And if not, could such an item be crafted by anyone here on the island?"

Nallissa bows low when the Paladin enters.

“Of course, my liege,” she says, with due respect.

Without hesitation or thought, she leads the holy warrior into a small back room lined with shelves where dozens of old weapons and pieces of armor are kept. She heads straight for the largest set.

“I only have 2 metal helmets, and one is......wait.......haven’t we done this already once before? Or was that someone else?” The obvious signals of the woman having a bad case of deja vu are etched across her chubby features.

By the looks of the gear, this stuff appears to be salvaged from the many dead adventures who’s luck ran out clearing the nearby jungles and surrounding areas.

Dexter Broadleaf

Dexter walks into the Hi-Lo (Is that still the name on the outside? Nallissa was considering a change.) He listens to Sir William ask about helmets as he looks around the place. As William and Nallissa check out the storeroom, Dexter boosts himself into a chair to wait. When they come back out, Dexter notes, "Sir William! You look as bad as I feel."

If Sir William has purchased a Helmet

Dexter nods at the new armor, Dex says, "Well, that should keep the old noggin intact."

If there has been a problem with the cost of the helmet.

Dex looks up and says, "I thought you were going to buy a new helmet? Hey, look, I can't be seen running around with a half-armored warrior. And it's in my best interest to make sure that the folks I travel with are well-protected. Can I help with that? Like I said, it's enlightened self-interest to make sure your head is safe."

I thought I recalled Sir William coming in and looking at two helmets before we left for the goo mission. I thought he had to take the cheaper one because of the cost. Is that wrong?

Daisy
Daisy enters the shop, just hanging out until Nalissa is free to talk.

Miz Nalissa, Ah'm sorry. Ah was under the impression that ya'll were a member of the Council- but Mr. Liam says that you're not. You should be- since you're right in the middle of the commerce to and from the mainland. We'll have to go through the formalities of a council vote and such, but Ah don't see that bein' a problem. Please, consider yourself a Council-person.

OM- I was sure she was on the council. ???

I thought so too, but I haven’t gone back to look yet.

Nallissa stares back at the pair, not sure how the helmet discussion will play out.

To Daisy, she respectfully responds. “I haven’t heard any details myself yet, but if that is your choice, I will be happy to serve in any way I can, Mayor Daisy.”

Sir William Narramore

The big man cracks a grin and sighs. "You're a kind one, Dex. But I recall now picking up a helm for 25 gold in this very store on our last visit. Perhaps near-death was harder on me than I initially believed."

He shakes his head, takes a bow, and heads outside. "Forgive a forgetful man," he says over his shoulder with a wry chuckle.

Nallissa nods her head in complete understanding.

“Thats right. Now I remember. It seems like these things happen around here occasionally.” She smiles.

Daisy
Daisy enters, smiling. Morning, Miz Nalissa. Ah'm going to go visit the natives- Ah hope Ah can help make them friends, and not just distant neighbors. Ah'm looking for some trade goods to give them as gifts- maybe some steel tools and weapons. 'Course, Ah won't expect you to just donate to the cause- ya'll are a business, after all. But Ah'd sure appreciate it if you could give me a discount.

Ah need some basic weapons, and some tools, if ya'll got such. Shovels, hammers, axes, all that sort.

Nallissa is nodding her head before the question is even asked.

"I can donate some old swords and daggers, maybe a few spears too. I have a small pile of items that were found on dead adventurers over the last few months. They are well used, but all still in good condition, I suppose."

"Tools from the shelves will be a different story. I cant donate any of my stock, and wont be able to give you much of a break on the price either, I'm afraid. Sorry, but this is a business."

"There were some hammers and prybars and such in the crate of woodworking supplies though, so maybe you could find a few extra items in there to give away?"

"Do you know someone named Monocar Jemara? That is the name it was addressed to, but I think Mr. Nehru was the one who ordered it. I have heard the name, but I don't think things panned out too well for the chap out in the jungle. Actually, I am not even sure if it was fully paid for or not, but I don't mind donating it, even if it wasn't."

The Princess

She enters with a flourish. "Hiya again Nallissa. Oh! Hi Mayor."

"I guess you've heard that we're moving across the river. It will be a great opportunity to try out that sawblade, as we discussed." She looks energized and eager to get started. "So many things to do, you know. Since we're moving the blade out of town, I think we just need to write up some sort of agreement that if Monocar returns, he'll know where his stuff is. I can keep track of the use and make sure we compensate him."

"Sounds about like what we discussed? This way the town benefits and Monocar can get compensated if desired."

She looks to the Mayor. "Are you interested in helping open and inventory it? Another witness, and one of stature."

Ah see. If this Monopole fella is a casualty of the island, then Ah don't see why we shouldn't use the things. But yes, Princess, we should keep a careful account of the gear- in case he does return.
Nalissa, would you be so kind and keep the document for us?

The heavy crate is dragged out from the back room and opened. It contains the following items, all in either brand new or only slightly used condition.

4 woodcutting axes
4 hatchets
4 crosscut saws of varying lengths
2 buck saws
A collection of oiled iron wedges used for felling trees
1 large milling saw blade
1 medium milling saw blade
The dismantled steel frame of a mill table (with connecting pins and hardware)
A collection of large pulleys
Several thicknesses and lengths of heavy leather belts
4 leather harnesses (horse sized)
250' of heavy hemp rope
And one unmarked wooden box sealed with red wax.
