Stobart

Not liking the look of the cave, Stobart heads back the way he came with Meinhardt.

@OGRE MAGE: Just for my reference - this means Daliedhur is at 6/13 because of Cinder, correct? Also, Protection from Evil should still be in effect I think, which means all these evil monstrosities should have -2 against him, is that also correct?

As the now unmasked figure dissipates into vapor before his eyes, Daliedhur narrows his gaze, committing the man's features to memory. A low growl escapes him as he calls after the vanishing foe, his voice a blend of grim satisfaction, lingering frustration, and weary relief: "Just remember - you were defeated today..."

But there's no time to dwell on it. Philosophy yields to survival, so he swaps blade for mace and swings at the skeleton attacking Tammuz - "Away!"

Mace vs Skeleton [1d20+2]=18+2=20 Damage [1d6+3]=6+3=9

I thought I fixed the HP thing after the last time you asked, but apparently it didn't work. I have edited it in my update, so hopefully it sticks this time.

As far as your PFE, it only lasted 2 rounds, and that was about 4 rounds ago.

Ithrandir

"Are we moving back to the keep or do you want to take the wounded somewhere outside the cave area and help the others? I'm of not much use in my current state, I've to say that."

Gyb

"Tammuz! Tammuz!" Gyb calls out, running down the hallway. Turning the corner he sees Keya and Magdal struggling with some kind of feline monstrosity. He's about to move in and help them when he sees Tammuz in the next room.

"Here!" Take this!" Gyb pushes the magical dagger he looted from the dead bandit into Magdal's hand. Then he charges at the undead Dwarf in the next room.

Javelin (THACO 20) [1d20]=18 DMG [1d6+1]=4+1=5

No idea what that dagger does but figured you might want it.

"WE gotta go all in. Stab it when I get it down."

Keya takes the rope and cloak and cat and slams it on the ground and tries to hold it down keeping safe as much as he can.

Submission [1d20]=16

Putting his knee on it and trying to keep the bundle of rope over the free limb, he yells.

"Magdal stab it, stab it!"

Bugs

"Now I've got you right where I want you—attacking me. Wait. Dammit." Bugs rethinks his life's choices while nodding at the Bugbears.

He starts making his way over to the Bugbears, keeping just out of reach from the skeletons, but close enough to hear their joints creak.

One Short Of A Baker's Dozen
Coming Back To Life
Early Afternoon, Warm Clear

Outside

Stobart starts carrying Meinhardt towards the others again, but quickly realizes that the two of them are suddenly all alone outside at the moment. And with no cave to sneak into, he will either need to climb or descend to another ledge before they can escape. Looking across the end of the ravine, he sees Bugs leading the 4 Skeletons towards a waiting pair of very large hairy monsters. To make things a little worse, when he looks up to the level of the Gnolls cave, he spots the red robed Priest standing at the edge of the upper ledge, also staring across the ravine in the direction of Bugs. The Priest holds up a familiar looking staff before pointing it at his distant Skeletons.

The little Gnome is able to keep a step ahead of the undead Skeletons, leading them closer to the pair of huge Bugbears in the distance. They cautiously move closer to Bugs as well, patting their wooden clubs with menacing grins.

Inside

Badly wounded, Ithrandir asks for direction, wondering what they should do next, but Renna seems too preoccupied with her new halfling doll to offer any response. Crobeus looks around as well, unsure what to say or do in these uncertain times. Along with the unconscious Loyn and Pimlan, they all remain near the cave entrance while the others are away.

Gyb hands off a small blade that Magdal gladly accepts while Keya continues to fight with their little bundle of fear. He slams the cloth prison into the floor again, worsening the condition of the tearing cloak. The Mummy Cat sticks its head through the chew hole and tries to bite Keya again, chomping into his armor harmlessly. Magdal strikes the cat bundle with the magic blade and for the first time, the cat screeches out in obvious pain after finally being injured ever so slightly. It hisses at Magdal while still trying to free itself fully from the tattered cloak. Seeing the head for the first time, I will need Magdal to make a Saving Throw vs. Spells in order to act again.

Inside the macabre room, the fighting continues, so Gyb lines up a shot on his former friend Haldric, who is now apparently an undead monster. His throw is true and drives home deep as the dwarf misses with his attack on Daliedhur. With a javelin sticking through his chest now, the former Haldric topples over to the ground, dead once again after his minor wound.

With his former target now a cloud of gas floating near the ceiling, the elf drops his sword to equip his mace before bashing the Skeleton about to kill Tammuz, smashing the thing into several pieces that scatter about the room, just as the second Skeleton on the wall releases itself into the melee.

The elf's relief at seeing an ally come through the door is clearly visible - "Tammuz needs help!" - he roars, swinging hard but ineffectively at the second skeleton.

Stobart

Spotting the red priest Stobart swears under his breath, realising he has nothing that can reach the priest.

He puts Meinhardt down and uses his last spell to heal the wizard, praying that it's enough to wake him:

"I don't think it's a good idea remaining here. But there's not much we can do with two wounded now that Gyb's gone inside. Let's wait. I'll take a peek at the outside and be our lookout."

He leans against the inside face of the cave wall and next to the entrance, and takes a look outside from time to time.

Renna

"We are going to need to retreat soon or all will be lost."

Renna will tie her rope to a tree and throw it down to Stobart so he can tie Meinhardt to the rope and perhaps get up the hill.
