Urtesi throws the two-handed sword to the ground again and circles around to Egon, casting a cure light wounds spell.

Weston uses his last healing spell on Egon:

The high elf swings his long sword again in desperation trying to inflict a scratch, a wound, just something to cause harm to the gargoyle.

Trist

Trist moves in picks up the two handed sword and tries to damage the gargoyle.

Tris is level 2 and minus 4 for not proficient with 2 handed sword so -3 to hit. I think I got that correct.

Therick, realizing his dagger is useless against the creature, sheathes the blade. Also, he has no more spells memorized to use.

So, he contemplates either hopping onto the gargoyle's back to hinder him or perhaps diving at it's feet to trip it up!

Therick also shouts, "If you leave the room the gargoyle, MIGHT become a statue again!"

Therick realizing his options are nil calls out to the others offering advice "If you leave the room the gargoyle, MIGHT become a statue again!"

Quick Summary: Egon is healed 4 HP by Urtesi and Weston. The Gargoyle takes 11 dmg from Egon. Trist picks up the sword and takes 8 dmg from the Gargoyle. At this point you can tell it is tasked with protecting the sword you seek. The gargoyle is looking a bit worse for wear, but still stands.

Map Meanwhile back with the prisoners: Delsenora and Elanriel keep watch and can't hear what is going on back where the others all headed off to. The enemy mage and the others look humiliated but begin to whisper among themselves.

Noticing the whispers,”I can tell you this, you may outnumber us currently, it was our mercy that let you live.”

Smiling the very best nasty Drow smile,”There will be no mercy, if you break the peace.” Looking at the mage, “I promise that you will be the first that falls, nor will you be the last. Keep the peace and you will have the opportunity to be free again.”

Glancing at Elanriel and giving her friend a very steel eyed look.

Xlore

Listening to Therick's claims admist trying to fight the gargoyle the high elf jumped back still holding his long sword forward readying for another swing. "You know... I think you may be right! My blade can't even pierce this beast!" Xlore called out to Therick. Sheathing his sword the high elf calls out to the others in the room "Everyone! Listen to Therick! We need to get out of this room! This way!" yelled Xlore while waving towards the doorway as he runs out towards Therick.

Egon

Egon continues to try and press his attack.

Elanriel

Elanriel is impressed by her friend's bravado and gives Delsenora a slight nod of acknowledgement.

Then she adds, "If Zana and Fana do not gobble them up firtht thithter." She tries to put on a show of fierceness equal to that of the Drow Priestess. "It hath been thome time thinthe they had a proper meal, hath it not? They mutht be ravenouth by now."

She nonchalantly inspects the edge of her blade, endeavouring to be cool and threatening about it but perhaps overdoing it just a little.

From now on, she tries to keep her eyes and ears open for any further indication that the prisoners might be planning something. She doesn't want to take any chances with them.

The enemy cleric gulps and nods to his comrades having felt the giant ferrets bite before in combat. The prisoners quickly shut up.

Weston

Seeing Egon continue to attack Weston stays, not wishing to leave his companion alone with the creature:

Urtesi

"Give me the sword Trist! I will draw it's attacks. This is the best way. I cannot heal those who get hurt fast enough."

Healing Trist: CLW: [1d8]=8

Trist

Trist gives the sword to Urtesi with a sigh of relief.

She follows the others if they leave the room.
