Aster nodded. "Then you have my blessing as well, even though it wasn't solicited. I hope you are both exceedingly happy together. Will you do it today? I'll have to get Bilis to make me something worthy to wear."

You also overlooked the obvious fact that there must 'ave been an "Off" switch or otherwise the whole ruddy place you were stood in couldn't 'ave possibly worked! You unticked more than a couple of boxes there... but then you broke the golden rule an' when there was absolutely no need you fekked off on yer own".

I understand that tomorrow will make today feel like a love tap, but we're okay. And just in time to visit Yamaguchi Spaceport. We're about an hour out by now. Once you settle the business with Walt and tell us what you found, we'll be there. It sounds like your day was much more exciting than you planned on. How are you feeling?"

We need to get our collective 'eads around the fact that these are not "virgin worlds" set out for us to play in. We are usurpers 'ere, inheritors of another folk's domain. Lands that they absolutely controlled an' that we absolutely don't and that therefore might inadvertently kill us".

She nodded. "Respect for nature is good. It can kill anyone that isn't on their game. Now, go have the talk with Walt you look like you want to have. I need to go use the fresher and change for the trip onto the station. I've only seen summary reports about the place and I'm looking forward to seeing how that matches up."

Aster heads out, and Ciencia follows with a wave. Bilis has vanished into the lab with Metz and Roscoe, leaving the rest out here to chat with Walt or prepare themselves for the tour of the station.

"Are you robbing the cradle? He is only a month old the poor thing." It is obvious that he is both kidding her and happy.

William nods and his smile diminishes but still remains. "You are absolutely right and I wish you both every happiness. He is a good man and needs a good partner beside him. You two will make a great couple." Another look comes on his face. "The captain of a ship can perform weddings. I can officiate if you like. We might even have enough Marines to do an arch of swords to celebrate."

He elbows Walt right back. "I think Roscoe got everything from me. At least all the smarts."
