Yea, you probably want to set out in the morning. It will then be a pretty solid days travel up river, so you will want to consider if you want to make an evening attack or wait until the following morning.

The trip upriver to the fort is uneventful. You pull your boats into some brush out of sight of the fort. As you are pulling the boats out, a pack of 12 hyenas investigates. They are nervously eyeing your party, but not attacking.

You will have a few days to respond and also consider your approach to the fort since I will be at the beach. I will be able to answer some questions, but won't be in a position to resolve anything.

Mudbill picks up a rock and tosses at the hyenas, making an aggressive noise in the hopes of scaring them off. "Shoo, vermin! Skidaddle!"

Drest readies himself in case the hyenas attack.

Wulgar merely scowls at the hyenas then in a deep booming voice "ROAAAAAAAAAAA!"

Your aggressive stance convinces the hyena's you aren't dinner and they flee. You may have made enough noise though to alert the trollkin.
