Yup, but that was his action. We can keep going, or??? If you want to keep going, KL's Dex is 20, and his init roll is:

If you want, KL can repeat the exercise in a limited test environment. The exercise would focus on KL grabbing, moving, and holding (no squeeze). Grimm would work on defending; not being grabbed, training his reflexes to immediatly push out (in case he's grabbed by a weaker opponent), and then a full Martial Escape. The focus would be building each character's subconscious skills; KL on offense and Grimm on defense.

Your rolls stink, what did you do to anger the dice roller? Okay, here are the notes, paraphrased from page 387.
The Martial Escape cannot be used on the Casual STR escape since Casual STR is a 0 phase action and Martial Escape is 1/2 action. However if you ever need BODY on a half die, it is 0 BODY unless you roll a "6" then it is 1 BODY. Not important to this discussion, but STUN/BODY on a half die is 1-2 = 1 STUN / 0 BODY, 3-4 = 2 STUN / 0 BODY, 5 = 3 STUN / 0 BODY and 6 = 3 STUN / 1 BODY.Leitz wrote: ↑Tue May 16, 2023 3:21 pmYour rolls stink, what did you do to anger the dice roller? 1. The Grabee must BEAT the Body roll of the Grabber. Thus with 1/2 of your 30 Str, vs KL's 15 Str, either you have to roll a little better than average, or KL has to roll a little worse.
2. However, you get 1/2 your Str bonus for Martial Escape, so all you have to do is start rolling average, and you'll escape a 15 Str grab most of the time.
gurusql needs to chime in on how you get an extra 1.5d6; I can't remember how it's done here. I thought it was 1d6 + 1d3, but that's just a guess.
