the tunnel turns south and after a ways you begin to feel heat form ahead of you

Syl thinks ok probably the demons lair already "This is a lot like the last time I found the lair of the demon." he whispers to Orville. "What do you think we take him now or make sure nothing can come to his aid first? Meaning clear the rest of the place then come for the demon." he clarifies.

the tunnel opens up into a large cavern you see cracks along the floor in places with and orange glow coming through them and you can see the heat rising
